Pressure from her family to achieve a higher academic standard is something that Flora (Paris Berelc) is currently not living up to. She’s smart, but a rebellious student who is more concerned with standing out than living life behind academic achievements. Eventually, this leads her to Sean (Asher Angel), a smart student headed for MIT.
A deal with her parents is struck with Sean tutoring Flora, a plan that seems to have no consequences until they begin to catch feelings.

If you like movies like How to Lose a Popularity Contest from this streamer, well, you’ll also love this. I have found that while these movies still put out a production that remains comforting and simple (which I mean as the best kind of compliment), they also do usually have something a little more unique and that is often hard to find in the romance movie climate.
What I like about this one is that it has a hero who makes himself uncomfortable to try and put himself out there. It doesn’t always end well, and he still makes mistakes, but he pushes himself and that is admirable. Beyond this, the film is another solidly fun comedy that is ideally in the young adult film market. Cute, colorful and comedic, I can easily recommend this one. (The usual oh no, this won’t end well choices do happen, so that can be annoying.) It’s the ideal thing to watch with your younger sister or just your girl friends on your next girl’s night in. It’s a delight from start to that predictably wonderful end.

Content: PG-13 is the rating of this and it’s the typical reasons apply. There is some innuendo and comments about sex. As the title would suggest, there is plenty of kisses and making out too. Some conversation revolves around someone having not had sex, and we learn this person does later.
