‘RUNNING POINT,’ SEASON TWO: THE NEWEST GIRL BOSS IS BACK!
Back for season two, Netflix gives us more of Isla Gordan in Running Point.
Running Point Season Two (2026) TV Show Review
After being the underdog and having to prove herself at every turn, Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) has now earned some respect from her peers. She’s running her family’s basketball team with smarts and when she needs to, wit. She’s had her missteps but with help from her bestie (Brenda Song) and sometimes a brother she didn’t know she had. But she has outsmarted her three brothers and now has earned her spot.
What she isn’t planning for is her brother Cam (Justin Theroux) coming back and perhaps looking for the chair at the head of the team. A move that she’ll have to get creative to outmaneuver. Then she loses her girl Friday when that bestie, Ali, leaves.
‘RUNNING POINT,’ SEASON TWO: THE NEWEST GIRL BOSS IS BACK! #KateHudson returns in season two of #RunningPoint. #Comedy #Netflix Share on XOne of the favorite drops from Netflix last year, Kate Hudson triumphantly played the role of smart and savvy in Isla Gordon. The family black sheep (of a sort) no one expects a dang thing from. The show has a good sense of humor and also had a bit of romance, too. The cast also stacks up outside of Kate Hudson and also includes recurring appearances of Max Greenfield from New Girl. This season, Ray Ramono stars. Plus, behind the scenes, this is also from executive producer Mindy Kaling.
TV SHOW REVIEW | ‘SULLIVAN’S CROSSING,’ FIRST IMPRESSION OF LATEST SEASON FOUR

Many of the same issues crop up to challenge Isla even though this is a new season. She still has to outthink people trying to take back leadership and deal with players on the team plus have to figure out how to put together an impressive team. This season also dabbles in the love triangle rom-com tease that season one dabbled in. Weirdly, I’m quite disappointed in this addition because no matter how minor, I like Isla’s private life and appreciate that it was settled and happy. I am also so disappointed in how it turns out. Her work drama was and is enough drama!
A binge drop, if you like the first set of episodes, you will like this season two of Running Point. There are lots of cultural zingers that I am sure are meant to be an insult, but there is still humor. It has the same sense of humor and features a great performance by Kate Hudson.

Content: This show is TV-MA and earns that. The content is much the same as season one if you saw it. There are crude remarks about sex and sexual experiences. We see a couple having sex in select episodes (some are sex dreams). One character dates / is in a relationship with the same sex if this bothers you. The f-word is a favorite exclamation of many characters. At least one character is a repeat drug offender with an addiction (we see him using). Note; this only references episodes one – four.
