Mark your calenders because starting June 11, you can see season eight of Hudson and Rex exclusively premiere on Up Faith and Family! This show follows a Major Crimes Unit who are helped by a K9 German Shepard with investigative skills.
Next in line, is Netflix and all of its big release dates! The first is the buzzy Office Romance which Jennifer Lopez leads. In the June 5 (and R rated) drop, she plays Jackie, a CEO with strict rules about office fraternization. Until, well, she falls for the new laywer! See the trailer below.
The official date for Enola Holmes 3 dropped this week. July 1 will mark the return of the sassy sleuth to the Netflix streamer. Returning is Millie Bobby Brown in the titular role plus Henry Cavill as big brother Sherlock and Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Holmes. The film is, according to a Netflix logline, set to follow Enola as she travels to Malta where she, and her gang “collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.” Additionally, this one is saying “personal and professional” dreams collide suggesting perhaps this one may break a heart or two.
In more Netflix news, they also announced that July 23 will mark the return of Ransom Canyon which be its second season. Minka Kelley and Josh Duhamel lead the ensemble cast. The season one synopsis from Netflix reads, in part, as follows: “Welcome to Ransom Canyon, where love, loss, and loyalty collide beneath the crimson mesas of Texas Hill Country. With three ranching family dynasties locked in a contest for control of the land, their lives and legacies are threatened by outside forces intent on destroying their way of life.”
FILM REVIEW | ‘THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2’ IS UNEEDED GOOD TIME (AND THAT’S ALL!)
Reportedly The CW will add Private Eyes: West Coast to their fall lineup. The show, which stars Jason Priestly, is a spin off of the five-season Private Eyes which follows Priestley’s former hockey player Matt Shade who ends up co-running a private detective agency with Cindy Samson’s former cop now private detective Angie Everett. The original show, which ran from 2016 – 2021 (primarily on Canadian networks I think), was lighthearted and had a lot of Castle elements, so if that’s your TV show vibe, consider checking out the new cases of Matt Shade and Angie Everett in ‘West Coast.’
ABC gave season two and three orders to Scrubs and Shifting Gears respectively. They will likely air as a part of their fall 2026 or winter 2027 lineup.
Prime Video dates their next dramatic young adult drama which is Sterling Point. The show, according to Prime Video will drop all eight episodes on August 5. The story is poised to be a “heartfelt, coming-of-age drama led by 17-year-old Annie Jacobson.”
In more Prime Video news that also ties into their upcoming release of Sterling Point, the streamer is putting together an “Obsession is in Session” campaign that they say is a “new initiative celebrating young adult storytelling and fandom culture.” Among the celebrated titles there is “first looks at Off Campus, Every Year After, Elle, Sterling Point, The Last Sunrise, The Love Hypothesis, The Devil’s Mouth, Maxton Hall Season 3, Drawn Together (Marfil), Your Fault: London, Perfectos Mentirosos, and Clashing Through the Snow.”

As of now, some of the titles featured in this trailer already have release dates, and those are as follows. Off Campus Season 1 – May 13; Every Year After – June 10; Elle – July 1; and Sterling Point – August 5. The first drop, Off Campus, will adapt best-selling books with season one following the studious Hannah who has a quieter personality and the all-star athlete Garrett. The romance between them is being hyped as an “opposites attract” love story in what is described a “college soap.”
According to reporting, PBS is going to reimagine Monarch of the Glen. Originally airing in the early 2000s (until 2005), the show follows Archie MacDonald as he (reluctantly) returns home in response to a call from his mother. Torn between his business in London and his family estate in financial ruin, Archie ends up frazzled. He tries to keep things going at both places with considerable resistance from his traditional father. The show is an easy watch and may be something with the same appeal of All Creatures Great and Small. This new show is reportedly going to follow Isla, a daughter who will be the returning child trying to keep the family estate intact.
