Month in Review September 2018 + #Booktube Talk

Hey, there (nearly) October! Another end of another month brings with it yet another Finding Wonderland Month in Review recap-y thing aka our Month in Review September 2018. Let’s share all the September 2018 recap thoughts. But first let me just have a moment to process September’s impending disappearance. *internal screaming*

Let’s get our recap thoughts on!

Ciao, September 2018. Bonjour, (almost) October!

Here we go.

»Dear Readers«

In case you didn’t notice, there are changes around Finding Wonderland. We’ve moved. I do plan to write a more thorough blog post about this, but in the meantime, I do want to let you know about updates.

If you’re a reader and you’d like to receive updates from this little space (THANK YOU to everyone who does want to), you’ll have to re-follow the blog. Or those who keep up to date via GFC will.

You can do this in one of three ways.

  • Sign up for the RSS Feed (once daily, at most, email update)
  • Sign up for the content update list (this one only goes out 1-2 x a month, at most)
  • Copy + Paste the URL into your Blogger dashboard via the “manage reading list” button (this option is if you’re old-fashioned – like me, and you still use the dashboard)
  • Follow via BlogLovin’ (the feed details I’m still trying to figure out, so that’s not being updated just now)

*Please note, to receive any of these, you will have to “confirm” via email, and this email may be sent to your junk folder

»Favorites & News from September 2018«

1: Amazon Prime’s Jack Ryan | Finally watched Jack Ryan (after the August wrap up mention) and really do like it. It’s definitely more “adult” than the films, and is a slow-mover, but the pace picks up. Note: It’s rated TV-MA.

2: Blog | This space is a big work in progress because of all the re-formats that now have to happen. My sincere apologies. I’m trying to fix some every day, but going through nearly 2,000 backlogs of reviews is going to take a while. Thank you in advance for the patience and my apologies for those of you who may read the archive reviews.

3: JustReadBox Rep | I had the chance to rep for JustReadBox this past month. Inside its tiny blue box there’s a multitude of fun goodies you might not see in most boxes, check out my unboxing post to see the fun. For October, use my code RISSI10 to receive 10% off.

4: Netflix | Recently I did add a few new things to my Netflix binge since my last Netlix binge article so many in addition to Amazon Prime (part one), a new Netflix post needs to appear.

»Wishful Wonder Bookstagram Challenge«

There’s another #WishfulWonder Bookstagram challenge. The fun begins October 1! All the details can be found in the introduction postPS: if you’d ever like to join in as a host, let me know.

»Around the Interwebs«

what else am I writing?

Silver Petticoat | This month, I love basically everything I watched to feature on Silver Petticoat – and that’s one of THE best feelings for a writer. Plus, aside from what I had the chance to contribute, I feel like August was an epic month for new content on Silver Petticoat. Here’s a recap look at what I contributed to the amazing webzine.

Articles and Lists | Wrote some preview articles for the fall Box Office 2018 and Hallmark’s Fall Harvest line up. Also, I write a Romantic Moment feature for Forever My Girl, an underrated, but super sweet romance. For National New York day, I collaborate with the amazing SP team and put together a list of 15 (+) romances set in New York. Oh, and just for fun, I write a piece about the better man in the Hart of Dixie love triangle between Lemon, Lavon and George.

Film and TV Reviews | I also review the underrated romantic-comedy In-Lawfully Yours and throw it back to the sweetheart rom-com, Runaway Bride.

TV Recaps | None!

As always, thanks to the editors of Silver Petticoat and my fellow contributors! Working with you all is always fun.
