NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 2024 RECAP: A RECAP OF THE CONTENT FROM THE PAST TWO MONTHS

As it’s that time again, we are back with this November and December 2024 recap of content that is all about, well, as it sounds which is to look back at the daily content we posted. This time it’s the last of this year as we look back over the daily (and sometimes more!) content we post here. We put out this recap in a tidy kind of recap of two months at a time for six times a year.

NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 2024 RECAP: A RECAP OF THE CONTENT FROM THE PAST TWO MONTHS. A #MonthinReview recap of the content we shared! #MonthlyReview Share on X

The rule is the same, we’ll go through all of the normal suspects including favorite and throwback writings, popular writings and such. Let’s jump in.

RECAPS

While we really have no news to share, we did recap our favorite film and TV of 2024! It’s probably boring to most since I didn’t see a lot of new films this year or the list doesn’t reflect this. Still it was fun to put together. We also ranked (for fun!) all of the 2024 Christmas movies we saw too.

blog posts that, while not necessarily the most popular, were fun to write

1: [DECEMBER] 10+ AGE GAP ROMANCE MOVIES YOU MAY WANT TO ADD TO YOUR WATCH LIST | This trope is a current writer and movie favorite.

2: [NOVEMBER] THE BEST LOVE STORY MOMENTS OF ELIZA SCARLET AND WILLIAM WELLINGTON | Prior to the rebrand of Masterpiece PBS’ Miss Scarlet, I had to write about the memorable lover story that was Eliza and William.

3: [DECEMBER] EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT ‘THE WAY HOME,’ SEASON THREE: COMING IN 2025! | One of two anticipatory Hallmark shows to make its return in January 2025.

4: [DECEMBER] EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT ‘WHEN CALLS THE HEART’ SEASON TWELVE | The second popular Hallmark series to make its new season return. This one will arrive January 5.

5: [DECEMBER] ‘FLY ME TO THE MOON’ GETS CULTURE IN A FABULOUS FEEL-GOOD MOVIE | This one is SO fun and makes me wonder if wholesome (and no I don’t mean this is the sense of there being no content in the film) movies can and would make a comeback.

6: [NOVEMBER] ‘HOLIDAY TOUCHDOWN: A CHIEFS LOVE STORY’ TELLS A FOOTBALL ROMANCE! | While not my ultimate favorite Christmas movie (the fixation on making sure everything stays the same ruined a chance of this), I did thoroughly enjoy this and had fun writing about it.

7: [DECEMBER] ‘MISS SCARLET,’ SEASON FIVE FIRST IMPRESSION REVIEW: NEW ADVENTURE BRINGS CHANGE | I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing this. I still take issue with Eliza, but I forgive them more now that she’s not working with someone with whom she shares such an emotional past with.

8: [NOVEMBER] ‘MISTLETOE MURDERS’ FIRST IMPRESSION: A COZY MYSTERY FROM HALLMARK | The first seasonal serial from Hallmark, this one is a fun watch.

9: [NOVEMBER] ‘OUR LITTLE SECRET’ HAS LINDSAY LOHAN IN FESTIVE MOVIE | Silly, yes, but this Netflix Christmas movie with Lindsay Lohan is great fun and better than her film Falling for Christmas.

11: [DECEMBER] SOME OF THE BEST AND WACKIEST(!) UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATERS | Putting this one together is nothing but silly fun, and I quite enjoyed it.

12: [NOVEMBER] ‘TWISTERS’ HAS COOL EFFECTS AND IS GOOD ENTERTAINMENT | Super fun film and one I was glad to finally see.

THROWBACK FAVORITES | aka the section in which we take a peek at what I was writing about or posting this time last year.

  1. My husband keeps bugging me about watching Fly Me to the Moon. I guess I should watch it with him. We watched Holiday Touchdown. It was cute but not my favorite either. But being in Chiefs territory we really had no choice.

High Potential is an excellent show.

    Happy New Year!

    1. I thought Fly Me to the Moon was spectacular… but I also just wanted something fun and to be able to *enjoy* a movie rather than have to puzzle through a story or plot or mystery. So for me, FMTTM accomplished this with flying colors. If you do see it, I hope you enjoy. ;) I enjoyed Holiday Touchdown but didn’t *love* it in the way I anticipated; and putting together all of my end-of-year lists reminded me that I need to watch the read of High Potential. :)

…hope you had a great New Year!
