SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER 2024 RECAP: THE THINGS YOU MAY HAVE MISSED

As it’s that time again, we are back with this September and October 2024 recap of content that is all about, well, as it sounds which is to look back at the daily content we posted. We put out this recap and look back at our content in a tidy kind of recap of two months at a time for six times a year. We’re ten months gone in 2024, and I’m pretty sure, nearly no one is okay.

» THE NEWS «

There’s really never any life things or “news” to share. This time around, I still don’t have either, but I do have a kind of news-y mention or question to ask of any frequent readers. We asked this of our content update roundup (which goes out once or twice monthly) readers, so we’ll post it here too.

I’ve been doing lots of behind the scenes things around here, and most of it is tedious and time consuming. But I have added, mainly to lists, some video content (meaning trailers or scenes) to list like this watchalike list for The Idea of You. So, in other words, if we can find a specific scene that we feature in a list (sort of like this Halloween TV episode list) or just an official clip that works for our list, we have been adding some. I’m not a video content person, so I think selfishly, I don’t think of this much (if ever) when creating content. But my question is, do you like video content?

5: [SEPTEMBER] IS EMILY GILMORE RIGHT? TALKING ABOUT THE BOYS IN THE LIFE OF RORY GILMORE | We’ve been lacking int he discussion and conversational posts, likely because of the BTS work, and these require more attention, but we did ask this question!

6: [SEPTEMBER] ‘MRS. WINTERBOURNE’ IS AN OLD-FASHIONED GOLDEN KIND OF COMEDY | This movie though. So. Dang. Cute.

7: [SEPTEMBER] ‘MURDER IN A SMALL TOWN’ IS IDEAL FOR ANYONE WHO LIKES INTERNATIONAL DRAMA | I haven’t gone back to watch more of this, but it was good.

8: [OCTOBER] ‘NCIS: ORIGINS’ IS THE DEEPER AND GRITTY STORY OF LEROY JETHRO GIBBS | I loathe prequel series. But I’d be lying if I said this is a good production. Did you see it?

9: [SEPTEMBER] ‘NOBODY WANTS THIS’: SIZZLING BANTER STARTS UNUSUAL LOVE AFFAIR | Yes, we did have to watch the much buzzed about show.

10: [SEPTEMBER] PERIOD DRAMA YOU CAN FIND on AMAZON PRIME: SEPTEMBER 2024 | We shared some period drama titles you can enjoy on Amazon Prime.

11: [OCTOBER] ‘VERONICA MARS’ AND THE TEN REASONS WHY STILL LOVE THE CULT CLASSIC | Because Veronica Mars celebrated a big anniversary! We kind of had to.

12: [OCTOBER] ‘WHITSTABLE PEARL,’ SERIES THREE PROVES AGAIN TO BE ONE OF THE BEST | Another wonderful show from Acorn TV. If you like mysteries but want them to still have some kind of cozy feel, you cannot beat titles like Whitstable Pearl or My Life is Murder. The former is darker than the latter, but still… cozy.
