Waiting on Wednesday | Twenty-Second Edition

Hello, readers and followers! Happy (almost) Wednesday. Welcome.

It’s again been a while since Finding Wonderland joined this fun meme. But a new week and a new Wednesday brings with it yet more bookish talk. Not that any of minds this, right?

Today’s feature is all about the books we’re “Waiting On” with Can’t Wait Wednesday. A meme Finding Wonderland occasionally takes part in.

Organized by the lovely Tressa of Wishful Endings, here’s another edition of Can’t Wait Wednesday.

Waiting on Wednesday Twenty-Second Edition

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here to spotlight and talk about the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released as well. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. (Find out more here.)

Unlike last week, today we feature a novel that isn’t so long off. It’s also a work of fiction that sounds cute, and features an adorable cover. Seriously, look closely because details!!

The feature is Stephanie Kate Strom’s Love a la Mode. Sadly, I have not read a novel by this author, but since I’m all about a good young adult (or adult!) contemporary read, I 100% love the sound of this novel.

Love à la ModeWaiting on Wednesday Twenty-Second Edition

Author: Stephanie Kate Strohm | Publisher: Disney-Hyperion
Genre: Fiction; Contemporary Young Adult | Publication Date: November 2018

Take two American teen chefs, add one heaping cup of Paris, toss in a pinch of romance, and stir. . . .

Rosie Radeke firmly believes that happiness can be found at the bottom of a mixing bowl. But she never expected that she, a random nobody from East Liberty, Ohio, would be accepted to celebrity chef Denis Laurent’s school in Paris, the most prestigious cooking program for teens in the entire world. Life in Paris, however, isn’t all cream puffs and crepes. Faced with a challenging curriculum and a nightmare professor, Rosie begins to doubt her dishes.

Henry Yi grew up in his dad’s restaurant in Chicago, and his lifelong love affair with food landed him a coveted spot in Chef Laurent’s school. He quickly connects with Rosie, but academic pressure from home and his jealousy over Rosie’s growing friendship with gorgeous bad-boy baker Bodie Tal makes Henry lash out and push his dream girl away.

Desperate to prove themselves, Rosie and Henry cook like never before while sparks fly between them. But as they reach their breaking points, they wonder whether they have what it takes to become real chefs.

Perfect for lovers of Chopped Teen Tournament and Kids Baking Championship, as well as anyone who dreams of a romantic trip to France, Love la Mode follows Rosie and Henry as they fall in love with food, with Paris, and ultimately, with each other. – Goodreads

  1. Man, I was really drawn to this cover, but unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll read it. This normally would be my jam, but I tried to read her Prince in Disguise and there were cuss words like crazy. Even ones in Brit slang. This author is a big nope for me. I’m really sad about it, but I’m not risking it again.

    I hope you like it.
