Waiting on Wednesday: Edition Thirty
Hello happy fellow readers. Welcome to edition thirty of a new WOW.
It’s Wednesday which means there’s another fun meme that bloggers enjoy taking part in. Today’s feature is all about the books we’re “Waiting On” with Can’t Wait Wednesday; a meme Finding Wonderland occasionally takes part in.
Organized by the lovely Tressa of Wishful Endings, here’s another edition of Can’t Wait Wednesday. Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here to spotlight and talk about the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released as well. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. (Find out more here.)
Waiting on Wednesday: Edition Thirty
Back to my regularly scheduled picks for WOW aka a contemporary fiction pick! Only this week, I have not one but two. I mean, really, when these are both announced within a week (or so) of each other, one has to feature both; that’s how this bookworm thing works, right?
Anyway, these both sound charming, and contrary to what today’s post may suggest, I am NOT ready for Christmas. Yet.
THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS
Author: Bell Renshaw | Publisher: Pine Mountain Publishing
Genre: Fiction; Contemporary | Publication Date: 2019
Will the perfect Christmas be enough to convince Beau that a life with Ansley could be equally perfect?
Born and raised in Winter, Montana, Beau Bradley can’t imagine life anywhere else. During the holiday season his coffee shop, Mountain Grounds, is as busy as ever and now that his girlfriend is back in town, things finally seem to be lining up—until he gets a call that could change it all.
Ansley Strauss is back in Winter after a nine-month art intensive in Canada and she’s ready to celebrate the Christmas season in the tried and true Winter-style. There’s only one problem: her boyfriend lacks Christmas spirit. Her solution? Make this Christmas perfect to remind Beau just how special this time of year is.Set on a course for ultimate Christmas joy, Ansley and Beau find that life doesn’t always work out the way they hope it will. Beau faces the reality that plans can’t account for everything and Ansley will have to come to the realization that no matter how perfect things are, it’s the imperfections in life that make it worth living.
It’s another Christmas in Winter, Montana where the coffee is always hot and the mistletoe beckons lovers to share a kiss. – Goodreads
ROYALLY YOURS
Author: Melissa Tagg, Betsy St. Amant, Liz Johnson, Ashley Clark | Publisher: INDIE Publishing
Genre: Fiction; Contemporary | Publication Date: 2019
There’s nothing to know (yet!) about this one, but below I do share the little tease one of the four authors, Melissa Tagg, shares on her FB page about her novella.
My story is about a king (Jonah) and a librarian (Rowan) and oh my goodness, I can’t wait for you to meet them. ??? I wrote the final chapter yesterday and then basically didn’t stop smiling for the rest of the day and I’m still smiling today and I probably will be all week. – via Melissa Tagg
Do these sound like the perfect seasonal reads or what?? I sure think so! Not to mention, both seem straight out of a Hallmark playbook. Despite the fact that I am SO NOT READY for anything Christmas-y and all of the festiveness that comes with the season (ok, so mostly, it’s just WINTER I don’t want), I am forever excited about new books from auto-buy authors!

Doesn’t it? I’m so excited (even if I’m not yet Christmas ready).
They sound great! And perfect for the holidays too.
RIGHT?! I’m all about some fun Christmas-y reads during the season. :)
Oooh! Both of these sound like cute reads! Great picks!
I think so too! :)
Every where I turn I am seeing Christmas books. :-) I dedicated my post today to them, so I am a big contributor. LOL . I do love a good holiday romance. Both of these sound perfect for the upcoming season. Have a great week!
Seasonal Christmas romances are the best, right? Gotta’ love ’em. I’m just not quite ready to READ them yet. :)
