Month in Review May 2019

1: Booktube and CAMERA Things | So, lately, I’ve realized that my video quality (for Youtube) is not good. My sincere apologies. I’m wondering, do you know how to best use a DSLR (in my case, it’s a Nikon) for video-ing, and if so, what settings are best!? I’ve done some googling, but it’s like jumping into a rabbit hole. Plus I’m one of those amateur people when it comes to best working a camera. I enjoy it, but don’t know all the ins and outs. Any advice?? (TRUST ME, it’d be very welcome!)

2: Blog Refresh | Clearly my social media and blog need a refresh (it’s been way too long!). Do you have any favorite design DIY resources?

3: INSPYs Author Interviews 2019 | The INSPY timeline marches on. Right now we’re in the “interview all the shortlist authors” phase. It’s always fun because we keep things simple and super casual. If you’d like to read what’s been published so far, and keep up with what’s to come, you can see all of the interviews from the INSPYs.com homepage or from the INSPYs dropdown menu under “2019.”

4: TREND! Pastels | I’m seeing pastels as a new trend as we head into the mid-year. What are your thoughts on this? I kinda like it!

2: Chesapeake Shores: Season 2 – A New Favorite Family to Love | Despite the flaws, I still love this show, and am SO ready for season four, especially now I’m “all caught up” on season two, and now three as well.

3: Magnum P.I. – See the Beautiful and Colorful Tropics of Hawaii | Quite impressed with this reboot. It’s fun and that’s all my TV shows “have” to be.

4: Movie News! Downton Abbey Romance & New Reasons to Return | I’m “all in” and SO ready for this!

»Around the Interwebs« what else am I writing?

Silver Petticoat | Taking a look back at my month in review on Silver Petticoat.

Articles and Lists | Wrote a little “what’s coming to Hallmark Channel” preview article for June (aka their June Weddings campaign!) as well as as May preview article, which is now outdated. Although be on the lookout for repeat showings, because there were some cuties in May! Also wrote an article about 12 literary stories that NEED to be adapted for the small screen. What would you wish for?

Film and TV Reviews | Pretty sure my lone review of the month was a quirky little romance called Off the Menu.

TV Recaps | None!

As always, thanks to the editors of Silver Petticoat and my fellow contributors! Working with you all is always fun.

    1. It’s been WAY too long since I did anything with colors/graphics. Don’t know if I’ll change the theme right now or not. (Though I like to!) Thanks so much for the luck, Tracy. I need it. :) Three cheers for ‘Downton Abbey.’ Cannot wait for that to come to theaters!!

  1. You certainly have a lot to keep up with.
I like the new trend in pastels, for clothes , book covers, etc.
It is hard to keep up with all the shows that you can stream. Thanks for your lists. My favorites are still historicals.
