12 of the Pretty Bookish Autumn Aesthetics We Admire
Once upon a time, I was the girl who loved autumn. It was “the” season, and “my” vibe. In many ways and for multiple reasons, I do still love this time of year (the colors, the air, the aesthetic), but in many others, these last two or three years, I’ve also mourned the fact that with the arrival of autumn, winter isn’t far behind. But like I said, this season is full of beauty, wonder and of course, some (read a few) of the favorite autumn book covers that sound as pretty as they look. Which is why, today we’re chatting about…
Since we’re over a month into this autumn season (and the Midwest apparently thinks this means it’s “cool” to drop some snow already), today seems as perfect a day as any to showcase these pretty cover designs. All of these are on my shelf, and while one is more about the topic of the story fitting the season over the actual “look” of it, I’m still going with it.
Here we go, here’s a small, but appropriately autumnal collection of twelve favorite autumn book covers.
Favorite Autumn Book Covers
1: The Bridge by Lisa T. Bergren
Unfortunately I have not yet read this one, but it looks pretty ideal for this time of year, right? Goodreads
2: Woman of Sunlight by Mary Connealy
It’s been approximately ten – maybe fifteen, years since I’ve read a novel by Mary Connealy, but her more recent cover designs makes me want to give another of her books a read. This new series doesn’t have the autumn hues in the way some of these others do, but it still has that vibe. Goodreads
3: Surviving Adam Meade by Shannon Klare
This one is the above referred to title that’s more about the topic than cover art. It’s a YA romance about a football star, so yeah… that was too good not to include. Goodreads
4: Destined for Doon by Lorie Langdon and Carey Corp
I mean, just look at the beautiful foliage! Goodreads

5: As Easy as Riding a Bike by Bell Renshaw
Don’t remember the season in which this sweet story is set, but to me, this cover is an autumn. Goodreads
6: An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
Oh, look! A book that was also on last week’s Tuesday list. It fit both topics, and so I had to give it its time to shine. Goodreads
7: Tiger Queen by Annie Sullivan Favorite Autumn Book Covers
Don’t know a thing about this one, but it’s got those autumnal hues, and sounds interesting… have you read it? Goodreads favorite autumn book covers
8: From the Start by Melissa Tagg
I’ve said it before, but I’m going to repeat myself: many of Melissa Tagg’s book covers would fit on this kind of list. I decided to feature this one just because it’s so dang cute, but I mean, there’s also Here to Stay and Like Never Before, too. Goodreads
9: My Stubborn Heart by Becky Wade favorite autumn book covers
The re-package of this, Becky Wade’s debut novel, is too perfect to snub on such a list. Those colors, that gaze…! Goodreads
10: Change of Heart by Courtney Walsh Favorite Autumn Book Covers
A “pretty as a picture” seasonal scene in which the couple is taking a leisurely stroll? Pretty sure this one gives off all the seasonal feels. Goodreads
11: Where There’s Smoke by Susan May Warren
Oh, look! A Susan May Warren novel I haven’t read. That’s right, I’m just going onward sharing another (of the many) books by this talented author I’ve yet to read. Goodreads
12: Supernaturally by Kiersten White
Last week we had Paranormalcy on the list, this week it’s the sequel, neither of which I’ve read. Goodreads

Your covers aren’t working! I’m familiar with a couple of the covers (even if I can’t see it) and The Tiger Queen is very fall-like.
So sorry… hope they are now? It’s probably because I’m trying to find alternate ways of using photos without having to use so much space on my hosting site. It goes too quickly…! They’re uploading fine for me, so while it’s frustrating to think no one else can see them, I also don’t know if they’re fixed or not. :/
Thanks so much for the visit, Brooke. :)
Great post, Rissi! I haven’t heard of all these titles but their covers do give me autumnal vibes :)
All about celebrating a good autumnal vibe!! :) Thanks for the visit, Dini.
I love a good autumn cover! An Enchantment of Ravens is amazing and I want to read it just for that cover alone!
Great list! :)
RIGHT!? That cover is just so interesting…! :) Thanks for the visit, Greg.
Love the covers for Destined for Doon and Change of Heart! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
They’re pretty, and so autumn-like! I *had* to include them. :) Thanks for the visit, as always.
This is a good list. And I have the same mixed feelings about autumn for the same reason.
Thanks, Lydia!
…I do love autumn, but it’s just for the fact that it’s close to winter, and I’m all like, “NOOO!” ;) Appreciate your visit.
I think we did a similar post last year because I know at some point I included An Enchantment of Ravens. That book always makes me think of fall.
We likely did; and it’s always a fun topic (I really like the cover themes). I don’t know much about An Enchantment of Ravens, but I agree. It just has that “vibe” going for it. :) Thanks for the visit, Alicia.
Oddly I couldn’t see your covers. Boo. I was looking forward to seeing your choices. I’m off the board a bit this week.
Bummer! My apologies, Anne. It’s frustrating for me because they show up fine, and because of this I cannot tell if they’re “good” or not, but I did re-upload so hopefully all is good now. :) Thanks for visiting.
Pretty covers! The west also has a problem with going right from summer to winter. It snowed the first week of October, and that snow hasn’t melted. It’s so cold right now!
An Enchantment of Ravens is such a perfect fall cover! I really need to read that one soon!
Great picks all around, as per usual. I really need to get to An Enchantment of Ravens, ASAP. It definitely feels like an autumn read.
