WHEN BOOK QUOTES JUST AREN’T *GASP!* GOOD ENOUGH: SONG LYRICS
Hey, there! It’s another new week and another book list… only today… not so much! I put together a list of bookish (mostly) quotes not that long ago with our book list theme so today I’m breaking this rule. What I’m doing is looking at some of my most favorite songs, by pulling some lyrics. Some of them are favorite songs or lyrics that linger and others are lyrics that are newer. Either way… I thought this could be fun.
LIST | CUTE 4TH OF JULY FASHION IDEAS: ALL THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE!
Perhaps most appealing about this is that I can pull most of these lyrics from my Instagram page. Sure I still have to create things to fit a blog post and the proper dimensions and all that, but at least I have most of the lyrics already living on social media which at least makes the picking of the list easier. Also, I promise I do like happy songs too despite most of these being moodier. Speaking of that picking out, let’s get to that task and see our featured songs!
A FEW FAVORITE SONG LYRICS (OR JUST SONGS)
1: WITHOUT YOU, FOR KING AND COUNTRY
This is a sad, moody song, but it’s super meaningful when you know it’s about a man struggling through health issues. It’s also a debut from he and his wife, sharing their individual perspectives in fearing the “what ifs” while he goes through these challenges.
WHEN BOOK QUOTES JUST AREN’T *GASP!* GOOD ENOUGH: SONG LYRICS #MUSIC #SONGLYRICS #COUNTRYMUSIC #CHRISTIANMUSIC #SONGS #GOODMUSIC #GOODSONGS #RAELYNN #TAYLORSWIFT Share on X2: LORD I NEED YOU (LYRICS, COVER BY CIMORELLI)
I adore this line in this song because to me it should be part of what teaches us how to behave in life. I’m all for debate and disagreeing and discussion, but even at that, I don’t think society today allows for grace.
3: THE SUN IS RISING, BRITT NICOLE
I used to listen to Britt Nicole ALL THE TIME back in the day. I heard this song again on a film I was re-watching and had to ask myself how I knew the song. Needless to say, I’ve had to revisit this one because of that reintroduction.
4: IN JESUS NAME, KATY NICHOLE
Found this song, randomly, on an Instagram Story during a time when it was needed. My mother and I even both cried while listening to it one Sunday afternoon.
5: GOD MADE GIRLS, RAELYNN
This song is just so wholesome and loving and charming. It’s an oldie, but I love it so much and how lovely it is.
6: MADE FOR ME TO LOVE, RAELYNN
I could add more songs from country star Raelynn to this list because I bought her ‘Baytown’ album and really like it. I have my favorite songs, but overall, I love it. But I’ll limit myself to two.
7: I GET TO LOVE YOU, RUELLE
This song though… so pretty and beautiful and sweet. Love it so very much.
8: MY GOD IS STILL THE SAME, SANCTUS REAL
Had this song on repeat for THE longest time. Don’t agree with everything in the lyrics, but overall, it’s a solid song.
9: GOLD RUSH, TAYLOR SWIFT
Weirdly there’s a lot of lyrics or lines in this song I don’t like. However, something about this song makes me hit the “repeat” button. I think it’s kind of “soothing.”
10: PAPER RINGS, TAYLOR SWIFT
This song is just so dang cute. We love it.

Sometimes when I look back on my TTT lists I am so grateful I took the time to create them. I’m sure you’ll look back on this post with gratitude for the amount of time it took to create it and the snapshot in time in provides. My quotes
Most the time I look back at my older Top Ten posts and cringe. ;) I say thing because they were SUPER messy from the Blogger to WordPress move. Most I archived but if I’m ever in a jam, I suppose they could be re-written and published.
I love your spin on this week’s theme and yes, sometimes good song lyrics can actually be better than quotes from books!
Happy TTT!

Right? Sometimes this is super true! :)
I wouldn’t have thought to quote song lyrics. Fun idea!
Thanks, Lydia. It was (mostly) fun. I had to make changes WAY too many times because I kept tweaking things. :D
Amazing list! I love music and it’s definitely a great take on this week’s prompt. And your pick are really awesome. I’m going to have these lyrics stuck in my head all day long now ;)
Have a great week :)
Uh-oh! Hope it’s not a bad thing to have the lyrics stuck in your head, Rae. ;)
I love your twist on this week’s theme. I don’t think I’m familiar with any of the songs you shared, though I am familiar with Taylor Swift.

Thanks, Pam! Appreciate you taking the time to visit. :)
Paper Rings is such a fun song!
I agree. SO fun. :)
Nice twist! As a writer, music is my #1 inspiration and all it takes is one line or phrase to set the muse off.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I love music. Always have. And I hope I always will. :)
A lovely idea and I love the presentation!
Have a great week!

Love those TS quotes! Paper Rings always makes me smile.
Same! ‘Paper Rings’ is just dang cute. :)
I LOVE this!! I was singing along, LOL. Have you heard Sunday Sermons by Anne Wilson? It is one I have been listening to on repeat lately.
I have not! I’ll have to look that one up, Cindy – thanks! I love new song recommendations. :)
These are nice. I love song lyrics (and song lyric lists) because it’s such a different way of writing and expressing things!
For sure! I agree. It is a different way to tell a story or express something. Always a fan of music so this was fun. :)
