‘A CHRISTMAS SPARK’: FAMOUS CO-STARS REUNITE TO STAGE PLAY
Back at it with another Christmas review. This time with A Christmas Spark that reunites fan favorite cast mates. Let’s discover what this one is all about.
A Christmas Spark (2022) Lifetime TV Review
Planning to celebrate Christmas with her daughter is a highlight for Molly (Jane Seymour). The plan is for her daughter’s family to come to her house for the holiday only this isn’t how it works out. Instead, Molly goes to visit her daughter despite her clinging to everything normal and safe and traditional. Visiting, Kristin (Sarah Smyth), who is always the one to come home, breaks with this.
While visiting, she becomes involved in a local Christmas production and possibly even the reluctant scrooge of a leading man, Hank Marshall (Joe Lando).

🎄❄️🎭‘A CHRISTMAS SPARK’: FAMOUS CO-STARS REUNITE TO STAGE PLAY🎭❄️🎄 #JANESEYMOUR STARS IN THIS 2022 #LIFETIME MOVIE. #JOELANDO #CHRISTMASMOVIES #CHRISTMAS #MOVIE Share on XLifetime movies aren’t something I keep up with much. But I do know what they usually put out. This one picked up some social media attention because it reunites Jane Seymour and Joe Lando, Of course, they both starred in the 90s drama Doctor Quinn, Medicine Woman. Now, they play different characters, both of whom have lived a life and struggle to find a future outside of their respective pasts. The film also uses one specific memory tied to a thing to help to illustrate the importance of tradition and the emotional connection to the past.
A Christmas Spark isn’t my most favorite movie of the yuletide variety. But this could be because I have seen none or very little of the TV show Seymour is known for. There could even be some throwbacks in the script to the show, which I wouldn’t recognize. What’s sweeter is the scenes between Molly and Kristin. Despite their story perhaps not being the focus, it is a lovely part of the film. What I don’t love about this one is the “love” element; though it’s more believable, it’s still a pet peeve of mine.
If you loved their show together or you like festive movies, A Christmas Spark is fun. It’s got plenty of good things going for it and likable characters, which is all you really want in this type of film.

Content: there’s one couple who are married that are same-sex if this bothers you. There’s a kiss and much talk of loss and emotions. Beyond this, the film is pretty TV-PG standard fare.
