BOOK COVERS THAT FEATURE ANIMALS
Using some type of cover design element is always a favorite thing. One I don’t think I’ve done is design where the designer and art features animals on the book cover design. Because sometimes everyone likes to see the rambunctious cat of our leading character as part of the design.

So let’s jump in and discover what books I discovered from my shelf that features an animal on the cover design.
ANIMALS ON THE BOOK COVER DESIGN
FREAKY IN FRESNO, LAURIE BOYLE CROMPTON
I read something by Laurie that was fun. So apart from wanting to read this, also how can one NOT include this? It’s a perfect fit for this list. Goodreads
NO JUDGEMENTS AND NO OFFENSE, MEG CABOT
These both feature an animal and sound like cute reads too. Also how is it that I haven’t read a novel by Meg yet. On these books we have a dog and a cat. Goodreads
OVER EASY, PAMELA FORD
Not only does this sound cute, it was a random find for me plus it has the required element to fit this topic. Goodreads
A CASTLE IN THE CLOUDS, KERSTIN GIER
A tabby cat plus a fun mystery? What more can a reader want. Yes, this is one book I have read. Goodreads
LOVE AND THE SILVER LINING, TAMMY L. GRAY
Only in silhouette, but this one is still fitting plus the heroine loves animals, too. Goodreads
A COWBOY’S TOUCH, DENISE HUNTER
I mean a cowboy on the cover is one thing (and good enough!) but add in a horse and this book is perfect for the list. Goodreads
SO OVER MY HEAD, JENNY B. JONES
It’s too bad I haven’t read this series yet because Jenny’s books always make me laugh out loud. Also, yes this cover is an older edition that has an updated design. Goodreads
A GIRL’S GUIDE TO THE OUTBACK, JESSICA KATE
I mean this isn’t likely a pet, but I had to include it because a: the book is a cute read and b: it does include a kangaroo on the cover. Goodreads
ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS, MAGGIE KNOX
I mean… look at that cute little face? Christmas novel or not, we have to include this one. Goodreads
SAVE THE DATE AND THE UNEXPECTED EVERYTHING, MORGAN MATSON
More than one of Morgan’s novels feature dogs and they’re just too cute not to include. Goodreads
FAR FROM NORMAL, BECKY WALLACE
This book sounds as cute as its cover art looks. Goodreads
Have you read any of these? Would you? What’s your favorite type of animal in a cover design? Tell me all the things – and which of these is a must read! Comment all the comments in the comment section. Let’s talk.

What cute dogs. :)
Right!? We love all the cute faces.
Over Easy looks like a book I would enjoy — seems like a super cute, fun romance! Plus dogs? Yes, please.
I think that one sounds really fun, too, Erica! Love discovering a new read that is also all about the cute romance. ;)
I also had a Meg Cabot book on my list this week but a different one!
These by Meg just seemed like the perfect fit and now I’m curious to see which one you featured! Looking forward to reading your list, Jo.
I love that Freaky in Fresno cover! So funny!
Isn’t it fun!? I haven’t read this book by Laurie, but I did her prior release and it was super cute. :)
The Unexpected Everything made my list too, it’s such a fun cover :)
So fun and the perfect fit for this topic, too! :)

Yay for a Kangaroo!! I didn’t include books I have read or I would have come across that one as well!
That kangaroo is SO small but I had to include it. It was too fun not to. ;)
You found some great covers! I love Morgan Matson’s books!
Her books look like SO much fun. I still need to read them though. ;)
