Where Your Heart Belongs (2022) Hallmark Review
Working hard at her job is a kind of lifestyle for Mackenzie “Mac” Sullivan (Jen Lilley). This is why she’s disappointed when a self-proclaimed selfie “queen” is taking her clients. All of this coincides with her best friend’s wedding which she is planning back home in their sleepy hometown. Adding insult to injury, Mac must work with the bride’s cousin Dylan (Christopher Russell) and the groom’s best friend.

You can almost set your watch by when you’ll see certain elements. Like a kiss or a declaration. Regardless they’re still sweet and a good one can feel like that familiar cinematic “hug” we can enjoy on those days we need a pick-me-up.
Apart from just the usual overt tropes (hometown, busy career girl, city), Where Your Heart Belongs also uses other similar concepts that are quite familiar. Also cute and familiar is the leading stars interaction together. They’ve been in multiple films together and it shows. I wouldn’t know if or how much is ad-libbed, but they have a comfortable affability together. This is indicative not only of their past work together, but appropriate for these characters. Plus the end proposal situation is playful and fun.
With its heartwarming scenes of friendship and family, the film will likely charm anyone who is a usual Hallmark viewer.
