‘LOVE IN THE MALDIVES’: A HALLMARK ROMANCE SET IN PARADISE RESORT
Part of their 2023 collection of weekly premieres, Love in the Maldives brings back a former Hallmark TV show actress. Oh! And, there’s a nice setting which allows us to “travel” with these characters.
Love in the Maldives (2023) Hallmark TV Film Review
Writing a magazine column about adventure in various exciting locales, Rae Parker (Jocelyn Hudon) is more than a little thrown by her latest assignment. TV FILM REVIEW | ‘RAISE A GLASS TO LOVE’: ANOTHER STORY ABOUT WINE AND ROMANCE
🌊‘LOVE IN THE MALDIVES’: A HALLMARK ROMANCE SET IN PARADISE RESORT 🌊 Review of the 2023 Hallmark romance. #Hallmark #HallmarkMovie #HallmarkMovies #Romance #RomanceMovies Share on XThis is one of the recent Hallmark films I did enjoy. The setting is really unique and gorgeous. Between the underwater bedroom or the gorgeous beach scenery, there is zero shortage of gorgeous skylines. What is also fun is, at the time of filming, Hudon and Manley were married. (And I think they still are.) Not only did I enjoy seeing (for me) two new actors on Hallmark, I also really like them together; and given their personal relationship, now we know why they were so easy to watch together.
One thing I don’t care for is the daydream sequences. They aren’t frequent, but I do think they’re a little unnecessary. The film is sweet and has some unexpected faucets to the plot; this actually reminds me of another Hallmark (Hidden Gems I think) in many ways, too. Still these types of productions work well for the network because they’re far fewer than the frequent small town concept. That makes this one an entertaining watch.
