EIGHT NEW YEARS EVE TV EPISODES TO STAY IN AND WATCH
In the lineup of seasonal content, no matter what season we’re in, is a roundup of TV episodes that fit said season. On this day, we are obviously nearing the end of a year, which means we’re rounding up New Year’s Eve TV episodes. Why? Well, because it just seems like a fun exercise.
✨EIGHT NEW YEARS EVE TV EPISODES TO STAY IN AND WATCH✨ TV episodes to watch on this #NewYearsEve if you are an early home kind of person. #NYE #HappyNewYear #FullHouse #GoldenGirls #GossipGirl Share on XLIST | BEST OF 2023: THE FAVORITE FILM AND TV SHOWS FROM THE YEAR
Like we also discuss in any of these types of publications, sometimes, after the food has been enjoyed and if you’re an early home kind of person, to wind down, sometimes it’s fun to watch something seasonal, but without a lot of time commitment. A TV show or ½ hour sitcom makes for the ideal kind of way to do this. And if you like the episode to be seasonal, that’s what these lists aim to show. NYE episodes are a rarity (which makes me wonder, why?), but we did find a few. In this collection, you’ll find “proper” New Year’s Eve episodes and some that are a bit funnier, and perhaps stretching to be included in our roundup.
FUNNY NEW YEAR’S EVE TV EPISODES
BOY MEETS WORLD
EPISODE: Season Three, Episode 10
Follows the gang who wants to attend a party only to lack a mode of transportation. Only they find they end up spending New Year’s Eve in a subway car.
CAROLINE IN THE CITY
EPISODE: Season One, Episode 11
In this 90s sitcom, Lea Thompson’s titular character tries to return earrings her ex gave her, and her best friend attempts to find a guy she met at the New Year’s Eve party.
FULL HOUSE
EPISODE: Season Four, Episode 13
Follows Joey who feels lonely because he cannot find a date for New Year’s Eve.
GOLDEN GIRLS
EPISODE: Season Seven, Episode 7
This did air in November, but it’s it involves New Year’s Eve, and is about the women recounting dates they once went on.
GOSSIP GIRL
EPISODE: Season Five, Episode 11
I think I’ve seen one (maybe two) episodes of the classic Gossip Girl. As little interest as I seem to have in it, I have whatever is the least interest you can have in the re-boot. But since I’ve been seeing the OG pop up here and there, should I binge it? Either way, this episode involves a posh New Year’s Eve party.
MY NAME IS EARL
EPISODE: Season Two, Episode 19
This one is funny because it’s all about the arrival of Y2K (also the episode title) but it aired in March of 2006. Which is perhaps what makes it even more fun.
THE O.C.
EPISODE: Season One, Episode 14
Not to be outdone in the teen drama department, we’ll also include this episode, which is another show I haven’t seen. But supposedly this New Year’s Eve episode features a miffed girlfriend only to end with the ideal NYE kiss.
UP ALL NIGHT
EPISODE: Season One, Episode 12
Chris and Reagan, the harried new parents who are the main characters in this show, go to a New Year’s Eve game night party where Reagan lets her extreme competitiveness come out.

I love that episode of Boy Meets World, with Eric and the supermodel haha!
I need to watch Boy Meets World. I watched it some growing up, but since I watched (from start to finish) “Step by Step” and am now watching “Family Matters,” I think “Boy Meets World” should be next. For the most part, these are the kind of fun and wholesome shows I love, just because they make you laugh and today’s TV I feel like misses that point. ;)
