MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF 2024

Even though it becomes more difficult to find books to anticipate, it’s still great fun to browse the releases and see what’s coming up. This year is no different which is why we’re going to look at some upcoming anticipated books of 2024, focusing on January through June releases since we come back for the latter half of the year in July.

MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF 2024. Looking at ten of the books I'm excited about in early 2024. Features @KCambronAuthor @RosalynEves @beckywadewriter @DaniPettrey @dilemmalord + MORE! #Books #NewBooks #NewReleases Share on X

I don’t know if I’ll find fifteen books to share and be excited for or won’t be able to find ten. No matter the number, one thing I know, these are the books that are, so far, making me most excited for 2024’s year in books.

ANTICIPATED BOOKS of 2024

sorted by author from a-z, and by release date

THE GETAWAY LIST, EMMA LORD (january)

Didn’t realize it, but I have The Getaway List on preorder so I suppose I’d best hope I enjoy! Goodreads

SELLING OUT, MARTHA KEYES (february)

I haven’t read a single thing by Martha, but her novels look cute, and they seem like they’d be me reading. So we’ll see.

ONE WRONG MOVE, DANI PETTREY (february)

I always enjoy the mystery novels Dani writes so discovering this, her upcoming (and new!) series makes me curious. Goodreads

ROCKY ROAD, BECKY WADE (february)

Since I did enjoy Memory Lane, particularly the character of Jude, naturally I would anticipate his story in this novel. Goodreads

AN UNLIKELY PROPOSITION, ROSALYN EVES (march)

Is it odd that I am including this one as someone who hasn’t yet read book one. It does look like a lovely novel though and a series I do hope to read at some point. Goodreads

THE BRITISH BOOKSELLERS (april)

It’s been a long time since I read anything by Kristy, but this one looks good and it sounds like it could be a great read, too. Goodreads

WILD ABOUT YOU, KAITLYN HILL (may)

This cover art is charming and again, though I haven’t read Kaitlyn’s novels, I’m curious. Goodreads

THE BALLAD OF DARCY AND RUSSELL, MORGAN MATSON (may)

A second novel by Matson is set to drop in 2024 (her first is in March and called Promchanted). It too sounds like it could be an adventurous read. Now I just need to read her novels! Goodreads

COLE AND LALIA ARE JUST FRIENDS, BETHANY TURNER (june)

This one looks joyful and fun! I have a love vs don’t-love relationship with Bethany’s books, so I want to read a third one by her and see which way my reader opinion shifts. For now, I’m crazy excited about this one. Goodreads

HEIRESS TAKES ALL BY EMILY WIBBERLEY AND AUSTIN SIEGEMUND-BROKA (june)

I have only read one novel by Emily and Austin, but I do want to read more. This is described as The Inheritance Games meets Ocean’s 11. Sounds like it could be a fun adventure read. Goodreads

BONUS! THE ROM-COMMERS, KATHERINE CENTER (june)

I forgot to add Katherine Center’s The Rom-Commers, but based on the cover art alone and how much I did enjoy Happiness for Beginners, I hope to enjoy this. It just looks like a delightfully cheerful read. Goodreads

    1. Given the brightly colored cover of The Rom-Commers, I get it. ;) Also, yes! I was surprised to see two books by Morgan this year, too. For all the die-hard fans, I hope they stay in 2024 and it’s n ot some Goodreads error. :)

    1. It does indeed! Love the cute covers lighter reads sport, though it does make me wonder how much longer this type of illustrated trend will last… and what style is next! :)

    1. Fun! I hope if The British Booksellers ends up being something you read, that you enjoy, Susan. I too love bookish novels, so that’s primarily what interests me. Plus Kristy always writes a great story, too. :)

  1. I’m looking forward to Martha Keyes’s next release, too! I really loved the first book in this series, and am hoping to get to the second one soon. This third one sounds adorable! She’s quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. I’m also excited about Wild About You! I don’t read much YA anymore, but this looks cute.

    1. I haven’t read much YA either. Or anything really. But I think even if I were reading, I’d read less YA. Guess I’m at that age now. ;) I haven’t read Martha’s novels yet, but they are getting so much hype and they LOOK like ideal reads for my reading likes, so I’m hopeful. :) Thanks for stopping by, Jana!
