MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF 2024
Even though it becomes more difficult to find books to anticipate, it’s still great fun to browse the releases and see what’s coming up. This year is no different which is why we’re going to look at some upcoming anticipated books of 2024, focusing on January through June releases since we come back for the latter half of the year in July.

Features @KCambronAuthor @RosalynEves @beckywadewriter @DaniPettrey @dilemmalord + MORE! #Books #NewBooks #NewReleases Share on XI don’t know if I’ll find fifteen books to share and be excited for or won’t be able to find ten. No matter the number, one thing I know, these are the books that are, so far, making me most excited for 2024’s year in books.
ANTICIPATED BOOKS of 2024
sorted by author from a-z, and by release date
THE GETAWAY LIST, EMMA LORD (january)
Didn’t realize it, but I have The Getaway List on preorder so I suppose I’d best hope I enjoy! Goodreads
SELLING OUT, MARTHA KEYES (february)
I haven’t read a single thing by Martha, but her novels look cute, and they seem like they’d be me reading. So we’ll see.
ONE WRONG MOVE, DANI PETTREY (february)
I always enjoy the mystery novels Dani writes so discovering this, her upcoming (and new!) series makes me curious. Goodreads
ROCKY ROAD, BECKY WADE (february)
Since I did enjoy Memory Lane, particularly the character of Jude, naturally I would anticipate his story in this novel. Goodreads
AN UNLIKELY PROPOSITION, ROSALYN EVES (march)
Is it odd that I am including this one as someone who hasn’t yet read book one. It does look like a lovely novel though and a series I do hope to read at some point. Goodreads
THE BRITISH BOOKSELLERS (april)
It’s been a long time since I read anything by Kristy, but this one looks good and it sounds like it could be a great read, too. Goodreads
WILD ABOUT YOU, KAITLYN HILL (may)
This cover art is charming and again, though I haven’t read Kaitlyn’s novels, I’m curious. Goodreads
THE BALLAD OF DARCY AND RUSSELL, MORGAN MATSON (may)
A second novel by Matson is set to drop in 2024 (her first is in March and called Promchanted). It too sounds like it could be an adventurous read. Now I just need to read her novels! Goodreads
COLE AND LALIA ARE JUST FRIENDS, BETHANY TURNER (june)
This one looks joyful and fun! I have a love vs don’t-love relationship with Bethany’s books, so I want to read a third one by her and see which way my reader opinion shifts. For now, I’m crazy excited about this one. Goodreads
HEIRESS TAKES ALL BY EMILY WIBBERLEY AND AUSTIN SIEGEMUND-BROKA (june)
I have only read one novel by Emily and Austin, but I do want to read more. This is described as The Inheritance Games meets Ocean’s 11. Sounds like it could be a fun adventure read. Goodreads
BONUS! THE ROM-COMMERS, KATHERINE CENTER (june)
I forgot to add Katherine Center’s The Rom-Commers, but based on the cover art alone and how much I did enjoy Happiness for Beginners, I hope to enjoy this. It just looks like a delightfully cheerful read. Goodreads

Linking up with That Artsy Reader Girl January 9: Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the First Half of 2024
I didn’t know Morgan Matson had another book due, let alone two this year. The Rom-commers is everywhere this week.
Given the brightly colored cover of The Rom-Commers, I get it. ;) Also, yes! I was surprised to see two books by Morgan this year, too. For all the die-hard fans, I hope they stay in 2024 and it’s n ot some Goodreads error. :)
I hope you love all of these.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Always the goal, Lydia. :)
I love Morgan Matson! I’m on the lookout for bookish books, so I’m definitely going to be checking out The British Booksellers too. Happy TTT!
How fun! Hope you find The British Booksellers sounds good. It’s been way too long since I read something by Kristy, but this one does look and sound like another good read. :)
Wild About You has a great cover.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
It does indeed! Love the cute covers lighter reads sport, though it does make me wonder how much longer this type of illustrated trend will last… and what style is next! :)
Heiress Takes All does sound like a lot of fun! Hope you’ll love all of these, Rissi :)
I think so too! Hoping it’s a fun read. It sounds different than the norm from this duo, too! :)
I don’t think I’ve heard of any of these books. I hope you enjoy them.
Thanks! I hope so too. :)
An Unlikely Proposition and One Wrong Move both sound so good! I hope you love all these!
My TTT
I agree. So excited. :)
There are a lot of great looking books coming out this year! I am looking forward to Dani Pettrey’s and Bethany Turner’s as well. Have a great day!
Both sound like great reads albeit very different because of genre. :)
I request the Arc in Negalley from An Unlikely Proposition, just because I loved the cover, but like you, I haven’t read the first book, so it’s better to do it soon :)
That sound like something I’d have done. ;) I think it looks and does sound really interesting, too, so I hope both novels are solid reads. :)
I’m looking forward to The-Rom Commers by Katherine Center too! Hope you love all on your list, Rissi!
Thanks, and I hope so too. And I hope we both enjoy Katherine’s upcoming novel! It sure looks fun. :)
I’m all about bookish books, so THE BRITISH BOOKSELLERS is definitely catching my eye. I’ll have to take a closer look at that one. I hope you enjoy it and all these others!
Happy TTT!

Fun! I hope if The British Booksellers ends up being something you read, that you enjoy, Susan. I too love bookish novels, so that’s primarily what interests me. Plus Kristy always writes a great story, too. :)
I’m also excited for Center’s book! I hope you love these.
Right? It just looks like a fun read! All of those colors and the plot, I think, sounds fun too.
Can’t wait for One Wrong Move. That cover is outstanding!
Great list. So many cool books releasing. It was hard to narrow it down to just ten.
Dani gets some great covers! This concept reminds me of her last series, too, which was unique for the genre. :)
It looks like you’ve found plenty of titles to be excited about! Happy reading!

For sure! Each New Year brings new possible reads to love and enjoy, so hopefully 2024 has lots .
What pretty covers for all of these! I love how each week your covers are always a mix between cartoon-types and pretty pics, and always manage to list books and authors that are completely new to me. Hopefully you’ll get to read all of these and discover that they’re all great!
Thanks, Leah! I hope so too. Always a fun thing to look up what new books are coming and which ones are possible anticipated reads. :)
I’m looking forward to Martha Keyes’s next release, too! I really loved the first book in this series, and am hoping to get to the second one soon. This third one sounds adorable! She’s quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. I’m also excited about Wild About You! I don’t read much YA anymore, but this looks cute.
I haven’t read much YA either. Or anything really. But I think even if I were reading, I’d read less YA. Guess I’m at that age now. ;) I haven’t read Martha’s novels yet, but they are getting so much hype and they LOOK like ideal reads for my reading likes, so I’m hopeful. :) Thanks for stopping by, Jana!
These all look like a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy all these!
Thanks so much, Alicia! I hope so too. Glad you stopped by. :)
Wild About You and Darcy and Russell are two that I am very excited for too. I LOVE the cover for Rocky Road, too! Hope you enjoy these!
Thanks, Shannon! I hope so too. They all seem like great reads for different reasons.
