THE BOOKS I’M ANTICIPATING FOR THE SECOND HALF OF 2024: JULY – DECEMBER
There’s always books we anticipate, and hope become a new favorite. This list reflects the books I’m anticipating for the second half of 2024. I’m not sure how many I’ll find because I am genuinely trying to only collect books that I’m sure (or as sure as possible) I will like. I try not to pick up books based solely on one review or cover art. This is good for me and my book buying habits, but also makes it harder to put together lists like this.

THE BOOKS I’M ANTICIPATING FOR THE SECOND HALF OF 2024: JULY – DECEMBER. Looking at the upcoming books I'm still anticipating. #TopTen #TopTenList #TopTenTuesday #BookList #Books #NewBooks Share on XRegardless, we always still find a few books to put on a list like this because there are always still some books I hope to enjoy. Let’s see what we find.
BOOKS I’M ANTICIPATING FOR THE SECOND HALF OF 2024
sorted by release date; then author
HEARTS OVERBOARD, BECKY DEAN (JULY)
I’ve heard Becky’s books are fun, so while I haven’t read them, I still have to add this one. It looks fun! Goodreads
THE SUMMER OF YES, COURTNEY WALSH (JULY)
It’s been a long time since I read one of Courtney’s novels, but I did enjoy what I read by her, so adding this to my shelf is probably something I will indeed do. Goodreads
WITTY IN PINK, ERIKA GEORGE (AUGUST)
Don’t know anything about this novel or its author, but the cover art sure looks fun, so I’m adding it with hopeful optimism that it’d be a good read. Goodreads
THE BREAK-UP PACT, EMMA LORD (AUGUST)
I read Tweet Cute, and did enjoy it, so reading something else by Emma seems like a fun thing. Goodreads
MOST WONDERFUL CRIME OF THE YEAR, ALLY CARTER (SEPTEMBER)
This one sounds SO fun. It’s a Christmas novel and is supposed to be a cozy-esque mystery. Goodreads
NOTHING LIKE THE MOVIES, LYNN PAINTER (SEPTEMBER)
Is it odd to include this one seeing as I haven’t read book one? Maybe it is, but having read The Do-Over and enjoyed it, I’m curious to read m ore by Lynn. Goodreads
CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE, SOPHIE SULLIVAN (SEPTEMBER)
Odd to include this novel since no I haven’t read a thing by Sophie, but I do think her novels look and sound fun, so I guess I’m trying to put positive out there and assume I’d enjoy this one. Have you read her books? Goodreads

I’m putting The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year on my list of potential festive reads. It’s good to have something other than romcoms on it.
Doesn’t that one look fun? I love that it seems, as you say, different from most of its seasonal peers. :)
I hope you love all of them, Rissi!
Same! I’m hoping they’re all good reads. :)
I’m excited about Nothing Like The Movies too, I absolutely adored book one. Hope you’ll love all of these!
Thanks, Lindsey! I haven’t read book one by Lynn, but did enjoy The Do-Over, so hoping these are fun too. :)
I have Can’t Help Falling In Love on my list this week, too.

YAY! It does seem like it’d be a fun one. :)
I just got my first Lynn Painter book and I’m really excited to give her a try! I hope you enjoy all of these!
I really enjoyed The Do-Over by Lynn, so I’m hoping these her ‘Movies’ duo will be good. I think those seem most favored by readers. :)
The Summer of Yes is on my list as well! Can’t wait to read it! I am number 27 in line with my library, LOL!
Let’s hope those 27 people are fast readers. ;)
Lol, one can only hope!
*fingers crossed*
Oooh, THE MOST WONDERFUL CRIME OF THE YEAR sounds fantastic. Carter writes such fun books. I hadn’t heard of this one before you mentioned, so I’m putting it on my TBR list RIGHT NOW. Thanks for the heads-up!
Happy TTT!

Doesn’t that one look fun!? I feel like I’ve seen some Christmas movies that are maybe similar to what this sounds like, but as I’ve heard so much good about Ally’s books, I DO really want to read something by her one of these days. :)
The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year does sound like a lot of fun! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
Right? I think it does as well. :)
I’m definitely looking forward to The Break Up Pact also!
It looks like it’d be such a fun read! :)
I’m looking forward to Courtney’s too!

This list looks like so much fun! I love all the covers – they’re so bright and perfect for summer, even if they’re releasing later in the year. I hope that you really love them all when you get to them!
Thanks! I hope so too, Leah. :)
