✨ POP CULTURE NEWS ONE HUNDRED and FORTY-FIVE: THE NO-NEWS WEEK ✨ Looking at the stories that made headlines this past week. #PopCulture #Arrow #TheMorningShow Share on XIt’s a boring week, I suppose because it’s the middle of summer and sometimes stories just must be “held” until more people pay attention, and secondly, because it is a holiday week, and hopefully everyone is enjoying time with good people, which doesn’t include scrolling ones phones screens. Let’s see if we can find a few stories!
POP CULTURE NEWS ONE HUNDRED and FORTY-FIVE
According to series creator Marc Guggenheim, he says that his show, Arrow, was expected to do nothing less than save the CW. He recalled a time, during an interview with The Showrunner Whisperer, when the TV chairman of Warner Bros., Peter Roth took him to lunch, saying that Roth “basically laid out for us in incredible detail the reality that if Arrow wasn’t a hit, there would be no more CW… Now we also have the pressure of keeping the whole network on the air.” In the interview Guggenheim also remembers the time he spent with Arrow well saying, “I don’t think we could do Arrow today… I don’t think we could have done it with the amount of leeway and creative freedom that we had. It was a very special, unique time in the business.”
If you watch The Morning Show, they’ve cast Jeremy Irons as the father of Jennifer Aniston’s Alex. I don’t watch the show, but I’m sure this new character will add some new drama, right? Jeremy Irons has also starred in things like The Borgias, The Man in the Iron Mask and The Lion King.

Following up last week’s news, Lindsay Lohan said that her return to a Disney lot to film Freaky Friday 2 made her feel like a “little kid” again. The lot is where Lohan also filmed things like Herbie and The Parent Trap. pop culture news one hundred and forty-five
