‘HAUNTED WEDDING’: A GHOSTLY HALLMARK ABOUT SOUL MATES
Ghostly themes prevail in Hallmark’s Haunted Wedding, which is a fun spooky-ish romance movie.
Haunted Wedding (2024) Hallmark TV Film Review
With a love of finding lost souls together, Jana and Brian (Janel Parrish, Dominic Sherwood) fall in love through their love of a shared ghost hunting hobby. Now the pair is about to marry, and they decide the only way to do this right is to pledge their love in a haunted destination spot. The old manor house is perfect but the rumor that ghosts reside here is what makes it appealing.
What they don’t count on is petty disagreements affecting their happily ever after or the presence of a spirit trying to break up this couple.

‘HAUNTED WEDDING’: A GHOSTLY HALLMARK ABOUT SOUL MATES. Review of the spooky (but not really!) #Hallmark romance with #JanelParrish. Share on XMost of the Fall Harvest movies Hallmark airs through the years don’t really lean into spookiness. They had Catherine Bell’s Good Witch for a time, but by and large when spooky season rolls around, they don’t seem to touch the spirits that come with spookiness. Very reminiscent of last year’s 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost, Haunted Wedding is cute, but also silly. I think it fits because of the plot. What does surprise me is the backstory that Jana has. It’s interesting and adds some depth to the plot.
I like everyone but find one character annoying because of stereotypes, and as a result, I cannot take the character seriously. Despite this, I still enjoy this title. It’s light-hearted and fun and a good time if you enjoy seasonal movies, but don’t want scary. The film has the typical happy end and features our modern ghosthunter’s love story as well as putting to rest one from the past.
While it probably won’t suit everyone, if you enjoyed last year’s Hallmark ghost offering, you should like this one, too.
