‘LEAH’S PERFECT GIFT’ IS SPENDING FIRST CHRISTMAS WITH FAMILY TRADITIONS
A movie about disaster (even if only small ones!) and first meetings, Leah’s Perfect Gift is cute, but also not quite what I would like to see.
Leah’s Perfect Gift (2024) Hallmark TV Film Review
Going home to meet the parents of her person isn’t exactly what Leah (Emily Arlook) expects this Christmas season. But when Graham (Evan Roderick) asks her to, she agrees. This despite the warnings from him and his sister that their family is, well, a bit strange. Still, given how well Graham fits in with her close family, Leah is happy to be with him, all in the hopes of enjoying her first actual Christmas since her family celebrates Hanukkah.
As Leah excitedly jumps into all of the traditional Christmas things, she also discovers that Christmas, well, it isn’t exactly what she planned for.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘CHRISTMAS AT PLUMHILL MANOR’ HAS A CHARMING SETTING AND CHARACTERS
‘LEAH’S PERFECT GIFT’ IS SPENDING FIRST CHRISTMAS WITH FAMILY TRADITIONS. Review of the #CountdowntoChristmas romance with #EvanRoderick and Emily Arlook! Share on XThis film is, like anything you’ll see on this network, cute. It has its moments that inspires a giggle or two in places. We also respect the admittance of being wrong from one character to another, although some of the shenanigans are a little too silly. There also crops up a version of the “ex” being back, but it’s handled nicely and doesn’t ever cause us to doubt where affections lie. Still, Leah’s Perfect Gift is merely a festive little flick and as such, it’s hard to be terribly hard on it.
I have really liked Evan Roderick as a “new” leading man face in these genre movies and know he was in a favorite seasonal movie from the last year or two. There are other familiar faces and Leah’s enthusiasm is cute. There’s a ton of typical Christmas activities and décor, along with some pop culture movie references. The end is also very warm and sweet, so that’s lovely.
For anyone who enjoys movies that have an established romance, this is an ideal movie to enjoy. It also relies on family outings and has plenty to recommend it.

Content: there isn’t a lot to note in this one outside of the kisses between a couple and one character mentions dating the same sex though we never see that. The film is TV-G, like usual.
