‘REACHER,’ SEASON THREE: THE LONE WOLF HERO RETURNS FOR NEW CASE
Returning for a third season in a show that already has a fourth renewal, Reacher season three is entertaining and kicks things off with a bang.
Reacher, Season Three (2025) TV Show Review
Facing his toughest foes yet, nothing prepares Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) for this new case he works. The particulars require him to go into a criminal enterprise that has deep and dark underworld ties. After he rescues the son of a wealthy but shady businessman (Anthony Michael Hall), Reacher enters the man’s world, in the hopes of learning clues about this newest case. Also, a part of this new investigation is Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy), a DEA agent who is working this case and worries about a missing CI. Though from afar, the trusted person resourcing Reacher is Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), his former special investigator colleague and friend.
The deeper Reacher looks into this case, the more tangled and dark things become… especially when he comes up against new and old foes including Quinn (Brian Tee), a former Army vet Reacher knew from an investigation ten years ago.

The third season in a popular Prime Video drama, Reacher is another winning group of episodes which tells another interesting story. This time around “the thick of things” is where we find Reacher, which is perhaps more confusing than prior seasons. This also hypes the adrenaline right away. This season is inspired by Persuader, the novel by Lee Child. Gritty and intense are the middle names for this story, which means that the humor we do get is dark. If possible, I think this season is darker yet because of what Reacher must wrestle with, although this is also always a thread of any season which is to have him struggle with something from his past.
Reacher season three also ensembles another solid cast in its template which is to re-cast each season outside of its titular character and also Neagley who returns (and rumor has it, Sten will be filming a spinoff show). I like both Jack and Neagley, and the fact that she is a constant investigative companion makes me glad (an anchor is good for him even if the character isn’t written to have ties), which is why I’m sad at the prospect of her not returning in the fourth season.
Interesting and very on brand, I’m eager to see what will come for the rest of season three.

Content: there is gunfire that exchanges within the first five minutes resulting in the death of two people. Many other deaths (including a dead man shoved under a desk). happen throughout the season (episodes 1 through 3, and presumably in the upcoming episodes too). Shit, and the F-word (often) is commonplace. The show is TV-MA.

I feel like this is a series I’d really enjoy. Isn’t he in also in a recent movie with the guy that plays Superman? I’ve seen clips that make me think I’d like it.
