Emotional in unexpected ways, Love’s Portrait is a lovely film (with an Irish adventure!).
Love’s Portrait (2022) TV Film Review
Staying alone is what Lily (Aubrey Reynolds) determines is her future. Even now, three years after her loss, she is comfortable not looking for that elusive one. She also has already met the one who was her soul mate. She stays busy and happy in her museum job and takes great delight in this job. The only thing challenging her is co-workers insistent towards the idea that she has a soulmate out there. This project is temporarily disrupted when Lily opens a painting that is, well… her.
This sends her on a journey and a trip to Ireland is where she goes next, all hoping to find the artist of this mysterious piece of art.

This is a film I didn’t take any time to see during its 2022 debut, and I don’t really know why. Maybe it didn’t sound all that interesting. Though the reason why I cannot say. But truth is, Love’s Portrait is sweet. The story, like anything else on this network has all of the similar themes (that you would find on Hallmark), and interesting concepts. What is most fun is, like always, the fact that this sends its heroine to Ireland, and film trivia does say part of this titles does film in Ireland.
The cast is also mostly new, at least for this network, and it helps to bring a new perspective to the roles and characters. When the same actors are cast and play the same type of roles, this can develop preconceived ideas of who the character is. The whole mystery of the film isn’t exactly how I imagined it playing out and as a result is may not be a conclusion that will suit everyone. Still, it’s a charming little romantic love story. If you like any of the films Hallmark produces or airs, then you’ll enjoy Love’s Portrait.

Content: same as with any Hallmark film, this TV-G movie has the same amount of content, which is pretty much nothing. Outside of a kiss or two.
