‘THE MADAME BLANC MYSTERIES,’ SERIES FOUR: MORE SECRETS AND MYSTERY
Back for a fourth year, the Acorn TV series The Madame Blanc Mysteries returns and is quite entertaining, as usual.
The Madame Blanc Mysteries (2025) TV Series Review
Christmas Eve is here again and Jean (Sally Lindsay) and Dom (Steve Hayes) spend their first together as a “we.” The plan though is to keep them a secret. Then, distraction crops up when a Sainte Victoire market ends up being home to the murder of a puppeteer. This leads them to investigate while some of their neighbors learn things they aren’t prepared to face.
This includes Judith (Sue Holderness) receiving a letter about her marriage to Jeremy (Robin Askwith) – a secret she doesn’t know how to handle!

Keeping to the same tradition since the second season, The Madame Blanc Mysteries’ new season kicks things off with a Christmas episode. Which is really quite fun given that this takes place in Sainte Victoire so its all about sunshine where there are no mittens or bundling in layers. This makes watching the Christmas episode this time of year an ideal watch. The episode, like those before it, is fun but also treats us to some layers and further gets into the new, but blossoming romance between the leads. The flirting and trying-to-figure-out-what’s-next between these two is darling. The only question is, will they last? I’m certainly rooting them on.
I hadn’t seen much of this Acorn TV show until now, but binge watching it confirms one thing; this cozy mystery is just as fun or entertaining as others you’ll find with the streamer (think Harry Wild or My Life is Murder). It’s also written, created and produced by its star Sally Lindsay and Sue Vincent (one of the recurring stars who plays sassy mechanic Gloria) shares a co-writing credit. Seeing frontrunning stars also have such a big role in the returning shows they headline makes things more interesting.
Bottom line, if you liked other seasons of this show or the amateur detective trope, well then, The Madame Blanc Mysteries series four is something worth taking a look at.

Content: everything is on par with prior seasons. A couple flirt and tease about spending the night together (everything is off-screen). Murders happen and sometimes secrets reveal affairs. But it’s all pretty “tame.” The show has a TV-14 rating.
Sincere thanks to Acorn TV for the opportunity to screen this series. All opinions are my own.
