‘NOBODY WANTS THIS,’ SEASON TWO: THE ONE EVERYBODY DOES WANT
One of their smash hits of 2024, Netflix brings back Nobody Wants This with a season two drop that makes us wonder, is this going to be first season pattern repeater?
Nobody Wants This, Season Two (2025) Netflix Review
Love and relationships aren’t easy but for Joanne (Kristen Bell), she is happy. But in her relationship now, nobody in her circle really seems to want this for her. Her boyfriend Noah (Adam Brody) is good and kind and she thinks he’s quite handsome too. Thing is, they aren’t an ordinary couple, which makes them both pause and wonder if everyone in their life is right.
Noah is a rabbi, and faith is obviously very important to him. Meanwhile Joanne is co-host of a podcast that isn’t shy about digging into topics of sex… or being agnostic. Both have committed to figuring this out (their first dinner party is happening) and making it work, but they still must ask, how?

The first season of this show was quite a success which sparked features on prominent entertainment websites and online social chatter too. The show even had the nerve to commit these two before Joanne realized she couldn’t change for Noah in the way he deserved. Then similarly in no way did Joanne want Noah to change or give up his faith for her. They part, and our hearts broke until that ending which made us happy again. So, the aftermath of that fairytale moment is what plays out in this second season. A season that I am left to wonder about as it seems as though it may repeat itself.
A ten-episode binge release (which I obviously didn’t watch in its entirety), this second season is equally entertaining. I’m not sure how long a show like this (where the story repeatedly goes back to a relationship never working), but for now, the entertainment of Nobody Wants This season two outweighs any negatives. There are some charming quiet moments that make us trust in these two and the distance. This is a nice contrast to the chaos that surrounds them.
I really like the cast and those sweet romantic overture moments between the leads. The good-natured storytelling makes this easy to binge, and of course, anytime Kristen Bell is in a lead role, I do have curiosity. This role fits her well (or she fits it well however you’d say it) and I like the camaraderie of the supporting character and cast, too. Plus, in a much-publicized guest arc, we will see Leighton Meester (Brody’s wife) as a troublemaker this season too!
In conclusion, I am enjoying the start of this season. It’s been really good and I’m eager to see where this leads the characters, though of course, I’m rooting for them to be in a happy place.

Content: this one has several uses of the f-word and some frank sexual dialogue. There are a lot of make out scenes. There is a scene of a couple in a bathtub (we see their shoulders); a couple makes out / starts to undress (episode four). From what I see, the TVMA content will follow the same as the first season. Please note; this only reflects the first four episodes.
