‘WARMING UP TO YOU’: ONE SUPER CUTE ROMCOM
Featuring a similar plot to another film featuring the same leading lady, Warming up to You is all about clashing personalities.
Warming Up to You (2022) Hallmark TV Film Review
Finding the perfect balance to do what she does best and adhering to the new business model her company is adopting, Kate Wolfe (Cindy Busby) is struggling. Working as a fitness instructor, Kate cares more about the wellness and longevity of her clients over the profit model of her company. After some sparring with one of the celebrity clients of her gym, she is unceremoniously fired.
When that same client, Rick Steele (Christopher Russell) walks again into her orbit, this time away from the lights of LA when she relocates to work at her best friend’s wellness retreat, Kate takes on this surprising new challenge.

Like anything on this network, Warming Up to You is again cute. Yes, I know we use that word a lot. But it applies to 99% (probably more like 100%) of these titles. Since this plot is familiar to something else Cindy Busby has been in makes me wonder if she is someone who takes an interest in health and wellness. It’s kind of fun when Hallmark casts people who mirror their characters. Same can be said for Rhiannon Fish, who has been cast in roles about environmental issues. Cindy and Christopher Russell are fun in their respective roles. This also isn’t the first collaboration between the pair of them, so if you saw them in something else, you will probably enjoy this too.
The film is also set out in nature so there is lots of pretty scenery and trees and water. Jumping off this are the themes of health and taking care of yourself. It’s overall, another really cute movie that made its debut on Hallmark. It’s fun and surprisingly, I did enjoy the storyline of a film star in training.
