Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper! (2025) Hallmark TV Film Review
Christmas is a, shall we say, memorable time of year for Ted Cooper (Robert Buckley). It’s a wonderful season normally but the optimistic weatherman is having well, quite a terrible time! This continues when, while travelling home, he suffers a string of injuries as well as other curious obstacles. The former leads him to seek medical care where he sees Hope (Kimberly Sustad) again, the girl he crushed on all through high school.
Now even with this series of misfortunes, Ted must retain his sunny nature if he’s to survive this curious string of bad luck!

Cheerful is the forecast of this Hallmark film, the third of 2025’s new lineup. Kimberley Sustad appears in another starring role with this title and she’s become one of the underrated favorites to play leading lady. Playing up the kind of misfortune or “disaster” happenings of classic films, Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper! is something that will instantly charm. The film too has a hilarious cameo which longtime fans will adore.
The movie doesn’t get too deep (the banter is fun), but then that is part of why Christmas movie fans look to these. The simplicity that translates to happy charm is why they earn an audience. One of the films that has a lot of silly which is an inevitable reality for our hero. But likely the audience won’t mind this since the film is all about having a good time, and this is the one time we get to lean into that genre and not mind. Fans of the network will love this latest title in a lineup of traditionally festive cuteness.
