‘A ROYAL MONTANA CHRISTMAS’: THE FIRST HALLMARK CHRISTMAS ROMANCE
We have arrived at a certain fan obsessive milestone, and so I must ask, can you believe it? That’s right, A Royal Montana Christmas marks the first Christmas romance movie from Hallmark in this 2025 year. Since this one airs tonight, we’re going to take a closer look at what you can discover in this 2025 film. The plot is much the same as any with a royal trope which is about a princess. This one introduces Victoria (Fiona Gubelmann) as she struggles with the requirements of her title. Hoping to have a respite from it all, she visits the Peaceful Pines Ranch, a Montana getaway she visited as a child.

In this friendship, the pair discover perhaps they share an unexpected deeper bond.
A Royal Montana Christmas (2025) TV Film Review
In this, the first from Hallmark, the network kicks things off with a story in an expansive setting that boasts plenty of gorgeous scenery. We also see 2024 star of Tis the Season to be Irish lead this, pairing her with an OG Countdown to Christmas star in Warren Christie. They’re cute together (as we wish for) and Victoria’s sidekick, Gabriel is quite hilarious, too. Like I said here before I saw the premiere, all of my thoughts do ultimately end with the inevitable “this one is cute!” Cliche though this is, 99.9% of the time we always wish for happy in a film like this.
The plot is obviously one about a royal, and as such this one is a grand title to enjoy if you loved Crown for Christmas. Same goes for any of the network’s non-Christmas royal romances; their most recent of which aired as a trio of premieres this past spring. Full of delightful decor and the usual cheery moments and tidings, this gets Hallmark’s annual campaign off to a festive beginning.
