‘LOST IN PARADISE’ IS FIRST HALLMARK ROM-COM OF 2026
The first Hallmark feature debut of this new year, Lost in Paradise is a fun way to kick off a year or new stories.
Lost in Paradise (2026) Hallmark TV Film Review
As a businesswoman who founded her own fashion forward company, ingenuity is something Sophia (Lacey Chabert) has often used. But her laser focus on building the impressive brand means she has lost out on other things, one of these things is losing some backing. While taking a trip to save her company, Sophia has an unexpected meeting with Max (Ian Harding) on a private flight. Max too needs new business opportunities and in order to do this, he must pretend to be the flight attendant.
Then, a mechanical error happens and their small plane crash lands which leaves them stranded on an island. Now these two opposites must learn to work together so that they can survive just long enough before rescue finds them.

‘LOST IN PARADISE’ IS FIRST HALLMARK ROM-COM OF 2026. Review of the #LaceyChabert romance with #IanHarding. Share on XAs the first title from Hallmark Media of this year, Lost in Paradise is admittedly fun. It’s not a new concept, and in fact this one reminds me quite a lot of another rom-com in the teen market or even something like The Lost City, however we still have fun with it. For me, seeing Ian Harding return as a leading man is one of the pros because he hasn’t been in as many as some of the network’s most favored stars. Harding is also part of the ensemble cast of the quiet hit Ripple (now on Netflix) which is a much more emotional role, proving he’s good in either scenario.

This film, of course, strands two characters who have the unique skills to survive their ordeal, and the script does all of this in a light-hearted and charming way. Penned by (in a co-writer capacity) Stephanie Jackson (who co-wrote Christmas Above the Clouds), along with her co-writer here, Zach Lewis, the pair also wrote Sweet Pecan Summer. All this to say, Lost in Paradise is cute and if you enjoy the network titles from the past, well, you’re certain to find this cozy and sweet, too.
