#Booktube Talk | The Christmas Book Blogger Tag

by

Hello, friends and readers. Today we join another book tag. This one is all about the festive cheer and fun of the season. Yes, that’s right, we join a Christmas tag. Our first of 2018!

Over on the booktube channel today, we hang a few bookshelf decorations and answer some of the questions for this tag. Today we answer the rest in this post. You can find the full list of questions below. There are some fun questions for this tag, and I find it most fun that not all the questions center or depend on a book.

With all that said, let’s get our sparkle on and talk about some traditions and other fun Christmas-y things!

1: What is your favourite Christmas scene in a book?

Not anything that sticks out in my memory. That said, I did just read Liz Johnson’s Christmas at the Red Door Inn, and it’s full of Hallmark-esque adorableness!! Also, can I just say any Christmas scene I’ve ever read?! I mean, they’re always cute.

2: Do you give books as presents?

Sometimes, yes! Usually always for my dad, and an uncle; and then I have been giving my mom a Kindle gift card since she reads exclusively on her Kindle Fire.

3: What bookish item is on your Christmas wishlist?

Nothing specific (apart from books!), although I have seen a ton of adorable t-shirts on Etsy! I mean, who doesn’t love to “window shop” on Etsy, right?

4: Fake Christmas tree or real Christmas tree?

Fake! My family has always gone with a fake version although I do think the real things are beautiful. But who knows! As the saying goes, never say never, and perhaps someday I’ll opt for real.

5: What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?

Everything! From the festive décor (my mom knows how to decorate as if she were a pro. Seriously, she should be a set decorator for TV Christmas films) to the feelings of nostalgia; all of the seasonal movies to the music (which I do blast quite frequently), it’s a beautiful season.

6: What dish on your Christmas menu are you most looking forward to?

Oh, so many! Love my mom’s stuffing, and I make the green bean casserole (with my mother’s homemade mix). I also made, instead of sweet potatoes, a butternut squash one year, and oh my! That was a yummy recipe addition.

7: What’s your favourite Christmas song?

Too many to name! I like classics like ‘O, Holy Night’ and ‘Mary Did You Know?’ as well as modern fan favorites like ‘Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,’ ‘Santa Baby’ or Point of Grace Christmas originals. In conclusion, basically I just enjoy all of the wonderful Christmas songs in the music libraries. Or most of them.
