12 COLORFUL BOOK COVER DESIGNS ON MY BOOKSHELF

There’s many things about a book cover that I love. Sometimes it’s a romantic image with cover models. Other times, it’s the subtle, simple kind of look. Whatever one of my favorite elements is, one thing we cannot argue is that I love a good cover design. Today, we’re going to look at another aspect of deign which is colorful book cover designs art!

LIST | 12 (MORE!) OF THE HAPPY HALF-HOUR TV SHOWS TO ENJOY, PART 2

I’m going to be  honest, I am trying to feature some titles (still from my shelf!) that I haven’t featured at all or much in prior weekly lists. I’m not saying I’m going to accomplish this, but a girl can try, am I right? With that said, I’m typing this in front of my bookshelf (late in the night as usual but with a cup of tea), all ready to do some window shopping (as it were) so as to find some fun (colorful!) books to feature. Because, most of all, no matter what gets featured, we just love some good books. Let’s do this.

PS; my apologies for not replying to everyone’s comments more promptly! If I seem worse than normal just now, it’s likely because I am. I’m super busy doing re-formats on archive posts and re-edits on old reviews. It’s a CHORE! Any suggestions or helpful tips are welcome – I still have multiple hundreds to go!

COLORFUL BOOK COVER DESIGNS

1: NO JUDGEMENTS AND NO OFFENSE, MEG CABOT

These are just cute and flirty (even though they’re illustrated!). I’ve never read a Meg Cabot book and I’m curious, are these good?

2: THINGS YOU SAVE IN A FIRE, KATHERINE CENTER

Haven’t read anything by this author, but the “fiery” color scheme makes this one stand out. Plus I hear so many good things about her books I just had to pick one up. Goodreads

3: FREAKY IN FRESNO, LAURIE BOYLE CROMPTON

A kind of Freaky Friday re-telling, for me, it’s all in the pink cover (not a fan of the rest of the design) backdrop on this one! Goodreads

4: NOW THAT I’VE FOUND YOU, KRISTINA FOREST

Again, like Crompton’s novel, this one is all about that back drop, in this case it’s a standout (almost sherbert like) orange. Goodreads

5: DEAREST JOSEPHINE, CAROLINE GEORGE

Had to include something a bit different from most of these contemporaries. This one is a time-slip novel that’s a pretty new release, too!) sounds good. Love the stark black backdrop with the brightly colored flowers. Goodreads

6: CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET, SOPHIE KINSELLA

Oh, yes, another popular author I haven’t read a book by! I hear great things about her books, but haven’t taken the chance on one. This one is all about the sunny cheeriness with its yellow background. Goodreads

7: CHESAPEAKE VALOR [SERIES], DANI PETTREY

These look fabulous together with the neon-y accents, plus I’m here for the stories, too, all of which are fabulous. Goodreads

8: FIRST AND THEN, EMMA MILLS

All of the colors come together on this rain-drop themed cover design. Goodreads

9: LITTLE DO WE KNOW, TAMARA IRELAND STONE

Pretty self-explanatory; this one is a swirl of brightly-lit colors! Goodreads

10: PLOT TWIST, BETHANY TURNER

Technically I don’t have this one on my shelf (yet), but it’s in my pre-order queue (and that basically counts, right?), and it just seems an ideal feature for this topic – look at all that color! Goodreads

11: THE NOBLE LEGACY [SERIES], SUSAN MAY WARREN

These just look so fun and cheerful together! Although to be honest, you really have to see these in person to get the full effect (it’s all in the spines). Despite loving what I’ve read by Warren, I still haven’t read these. Goodreads

12: LOVE, LIFE AND THE LIST, KASIE WEST

It’s the abstract painting in the back for me. But then as this is a novel about art and such, this only makes sense to tie that in with a colorful book cover. Goodreads

Tell me, have you read any of these or do you like any of these colorful book cover art designs? Which of these would you recommend? What books would you feature on such a list? Please, do sound off on your thoughts – your comments mean so much and I look forward to visiting your space, too!

Thank you for visiting!

    1. So fun! I didn’t know that Katherine paints; but I can totally see this. :) Thanks so much for the visit, Dedra.

PS: I’ve been trying to comment on your blog the last month or so, but for some reason it doesn’t like me. Not sure if it’s because of my tech end or what, but… sorry! :/

      1. Sorry about that! Yes, I got hacked, then switched hosts, got a new firewall, and it’s been blocking legitimate comments. I *think* I have it figured out now. But if you try to comment again and it doesn’t work, please let me know! It’s the only way I know it isn’t working. :)

  1. I read a load of Sophie Kinsella when I was a teenager and they all were a lot of fun – though I found the Shopoholic series frustrating as the series went on as the main character never really matured or learnt from her mistakes. Can You Keep a Secret? was one of my favourite of hers.
    My TTT.

    1. Bummer about Sophie Shopaholic series! That never sits well with me either, especially as that’s part of a good character journey; so see them grow. Good to know about ‘Secret’!! :) Thanks for the visit, Elena.

    1. YES! The same here. I need to start breaking my recent rule of featuring only books from my shelf. That would certainly open new doors. :) Thanks so much for the luck and visit.
