12 MORE OF THE BEST MOTHERS ON OUR FAVORITE TV SHOWS

If there’s one thing I love, it’s a good TV show binge. Why this is, I don’t know, but I do. Lately, one of my MOST favorite things is to binge ½ hour shows. It’s kind of like an unwind way to enjoy the evening. With that in mind, I wanted to look at some of the favorite TV show mothers.

LIST | 15+ Good Movies Perfect to Enjoy on Mother’s Day

Today is Mother’s Day, and though biased, I think my mother is pretty great. She listens to me rant and to my fears and puts up with my many anxious moments. She is simply, the best, and honestly I don’t know what I’d do without her. Because of this, I want to give her a shout-out! Mom, thank you! You’re the best, and I’m forever grateful.

In celebration of this special day, let’s look at a few of the favorite TV mothers!

FAVORITE TV MOTHERS

12 MORE OF THE BEST MOTHERS ON OUR FAVORITE TV SHOWS #MothersDay #FavoriteTVMoms #FavoriteTVMothers #List #FunnyTVShows Share on X

1: VANESSA BAXTER

From: Last Man Standing

I’ve grown to like Vanessa more and more as a character. Her girl’s are mostly “daddy’s girls” but they rely on their mother for many things and because of this, she’s their North Star in these instances.

2: ANGELA D’AMATO AND POPPY BANKS

From: Single Parents

I recently started to watch Single Parents and while I don’t like everything about it, it’s cute. I don’t love all of Angie or Poppy’s parenting methods. But to keep things fun and light, this show has that down right.

3: KATE

From: Ben & Kate

In this scenario, Kate is a mother to not one, but two kids. Her mature daughter, and her childish, immature (adult!) brother. favorite tv mothers

4: KATE

From: Trophy Wife

A stepmother to three children, this TV show was SUPER popular show, but it only got one season. I binged it and enjoyed its quirky premise (about a third wife and the two previous wives, too).

5: MICHELLE

From: The Unicorn

Another hilarious TV mother! Again, like others on this list, don’t agree with all of her parenting choices, but she’s funny and I like her no-nonsense attitude.

6: CASSIE NIGHTINGALE

From: Good Witch

Haven’t watched all of this show, but Cassie is a good mother. First to her stepkids and then to her own.

7: JEAN RAINES

From: Call Your Mother

Kyra Sedgwick is hilarious in this recent TV show. Follows a woman from Iowa who moves (on a whim!) to California to be with her two very different kids. There’s lots of pop culture references which is pretty funny. favorite tv mothers

8: SHELIA

From: Call Me Kat

She’s kind of “too much” in some ways, but then there’s an episode that Shelia wins us over and we realize, despite her pushiness, she does love her daughter.

9: JILL TAYLOR

From: Home Improvement

I don’t remember this character to be honest, but it was one of my dad’s favorite shows. Growing up I saw an episode here and there. I saw her mentioned somewhere else and kind of “had” to include her!

10: TERRI

From: Back in the Game

Not my favorite character (again – and am I saying that a lot?), but I do think it’s interesting how tough she is.

11: JANE VILLANUEVA

From: Jane the Virgin

How Jane comes to be a mother is quite unusual, but I do like her character, to a point. I haven’t finished watching the series (I started it years ago and never went back), but from what I read, I feel like I’m going to be annoyed with her here and there. That said, I bet she remains a good mother.

12: JOAN WATSON

From: Elementary

The role of mother doesn’t happen until the end of this CBS show. I wish this happens earlier so that we can see her in this role, but I like her regardless and well, I have to include her.
