MORE FOOTBALL MOVIES TO WATCH IF THE ACTUAL GAME ISN’T YOUR THING
When it comes to sports, we all know, we’re not avid fans. Or at least I think we know this about me. My mother however loved football and while none of us watch it now, sometimes a football movie or two makes their way into my viewing sphere. Some also don’t and so I have to go Internet diving for some titles to make a long enough list.

🏈MORE FOOTBALL MOVIES TO WATCH IF THE ACTUAL GAME ISN'T YOUR THING🏈 SHARING A SMALL LIST OF MOVIES ABOUT THE GAME. #FOOTBALL #MOVIELIST #LISTS #MOVIELISTS Share on XIf you’re a person who loves football, then you probably cannot get enough. If you’re someone who prefers a ten or fifteen minute scene over a four plus hour game, then perhaps you’d rather watch a flick on Super Bowl Sunday. We collected a few options you might enjoy. If you want something funnier, make sure to check out our 2021 list edition because there we have more lighthearted options! Still I think this one has variety, which is always the goal. Let’s see if any of these sound good.
*Note: I also REALLY did intend and wanted to watch some of these. However, some weren’t available on the streaming services I use (I make it a point not to “add on” to that with extras) and others aren’t easily found. These all sound interesting in their own ways, and as such, I’m adding them on the basis of not seeing them. However, if you know more about them, let us know!

GREATER
Perhaps not the smoothest film in terms of production, this biographical film does sound inspirational. It follows the story of the “greatest” walk on in college football. Plus it has a big name or two in Neal McDonough and Nick Searcy.

HOMETOWN LEGEND
Terry Quinn stars in this 2006 drama. Playing a “hard-nosed” football coach, Quinn becomes mentor to a drifter teen who finds purpose and meaning joining the team. You’d also see Lacey Chabert in this!

THE LONGSHOTS
Keke Palmer plays a character in a based-on-a-true-story script about a young girl who becomes the first to play in a Pop Warner football tournament. It’s not really my type of story in one way, but I suspect it is quite entertaining. (What I saw of it, it is quite cute.)
Stream The Longshots on places like CW or Roku; or purchase digitally on Amazon

Jumping back into the 30s with this one that follows two high school best friends who end up having very different collegiate careers.
