UPCOMING 2021 BOOK RELEASES I’M SUPER EXCITED FOR (JULY – DECEMBER)

by

Here. We. Are. The halfway point of 2021, and wow. Where do these days go? Ok, so, as we are at the halfway point, it’s that annual time of year again where we chat up the anticipated upcoming 2021 book releases! I’ll be honest, through my many years of curating such lists, I continue to have tougher times finding books to put on this list. I’m hoping this is because I’m more and more in tune with what I’ll like vs the quality of Story. While I do think that plays into the factoring some (because there are some things I simply do not go in for), I love that I’m being wiser in my choices and also, I really want to only add books to this sort of list that I’m sure (or as sure as can be) I’ll read and enjoy.

LIST | 11 MOVIES TO WATCH FOR THE FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATIONS!

Like anything, there’s a pretty wide array of genres on the list and also like normal, this is only half of the titles I’ve gathered for this topic. The rest I’ll chat about in a video on the channel (which, yes, will be late in publishing because I have to film it yet!). So while that “part 2” won’t go up until next week, it’s a-coming with more good books. For now though, we’ll focus on those to feature today! Let’s dive right in.

ANTICIPATED UPCOMING 2021 BOOK RELEASES

Sorted by release date, then author

1: LINES BETWEEN US, AMY LYNN GREEN (AUGUST)

Haven’t read a thing by Amy before, but I am curious about her novels. This is her second book with Bethany House and I was excited to have the chance to help reveal the cover on Instagram! Take a look. Goodreads

2: LIKE A LONG SONG, GABRIELA MARTINS (AUGUST)

One of those Underlined Paperback titles, this one looks cute and that’s it (which is 100% a compliment!). Follows a Brazilian pop star and a fake dating trope so I’m obviously here for this one being a quick and cute read! Goodreads

3: SO, THIS IS CHRISTMAS, TRACY ANDREEN (OCTOBER)

You guys know I’m going to be curious about the Christmas-y reads! Naturally every year I keep an eye out for what’s to come. Hoping this one is fun (a girl returns from boarding school to find everything in her home life to be different). Goodreads

4: THE LONDON HOUSE, KATHERINE REAY (NOVEMBER)

I know very little about this novel but did see the excited cover reveal (actually, I was fortunate to be a small part of it on Instagram where I do share the cover!), and it’s Katherine Reay. For her usual, this one does sound different but then as I’m behind on reading her last two novels perhaps she’s been trending in a new direction. Goodreads

5: HOW NOT TO FALL IN LOVE, JACQUELINE FIRKINS (DECEMBER)

This is kind of my “wild card” addition for this list. Saying this because I’ve not read anything by this author and so, I haven’t a clue if it will be a “me” kind of read. Still, it’s likened to The Upside of Falling (LOVE – so cute!) and Emma Lord’s Tweet Cute and so as two books I have read, I’m hoping the comparison is accurate. Goodreads

ONE TITLE THAT MAKES ME CURIOUS! FAKING REALITY, SARA FUJIMURA (JULY)

This one says it’s kind of like My Big Fat Greek Wedding which makes me curious. It follows a girl who’s tired of her life being a part of her parent’s reality show, only the more the pulls away, the less she may get closer to her friend and crush, Leo. Goodreads

Excited to chat about more anticipated reads in my upcoming video! It’s in my schedule to film this week.

Let’s chat! Tell me, what books are you most excited about for the rest of this year? Do you think you’ve already read your “best” of year title? Or is it (anticipated!) yet to come? Do you want to read any of these? Did I introduce you to something new? Let me know all of the thoughts below! I’d love to chat.

Thank you for visiting! Please, do come back soon.

    1. Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes there’s too much to keep up with; I’ve had to teach myself (over the last 4 years or more) that it’s ok not to keep up. This especially applies to my life on social media. Thanks for your visit, Anne.
