‘AN AUTUMN ROMANCE’: WHEN A LIBRARIAN MEETS A LOCAL GUY BY CHANCE

This is one of those movies that has been rebranded a few times under different titles (like A Tycoon’s Kiss or Colors of Love). Where it would air has also been a mystery, but it finally lands on the new network GAC under An Autumn Romance.

Working as a research librarian is what makes Taylor Harris (Jessica Lowndes) happy. She thrives in the environment and loves to help people dig up facts and answers to their questions. But when he Seattle library loses funding, Taylor’s job is first to be cut. This inspires her brother (Dennis Andres) to invite her to Montana and the small town where he now lives.

Upon her arrival, by happenstance, Taylor meets Joel (Chad Michael Murray), a local who knows the town she’s heading to. Once there, Taylor and Joel find they have more in common they expected, but eventually discover they may be on opposite sides of an argument!

This is one of those movies that has a plot similar to many others, and in fact, faucets of it are very reminiscent of Sand Dollar Cove another of Murray’s films. However, despite this, I also think this film does a really good job of making this one special. There’s something about it that sparks sweetness and if you like the genre, joy. an autumn romance

This is, at least, the third pair-up between Lowndes and Murray. I’m not sure what it is about this one, but something “sparks” in the scenes that just makes them feel cozy and realistic. I’m not sure if this is because of the script or perhaps the familiarity between the two leads, but whatever, there’s a realism here that works. The “awkward” moments between them are intentional and yet, they’re genuine.

Like anything that’s similar to this, if you enjoy TV romance movies, you’ll enjoy this one. It’s another sweet little movie that is the right kind of seasonal romance to air now!

Content: This one has a TV-PG rating but it’s one of the wholesome, clean romances.
