SOME OF THE ROMANTIC BOOKS TO READ FOR VALENTINE’S DAY
It’s Valentine’s eve, and so naturally, we have to look at some romantic reads you can enjoy. Unusual to most lists I create here, I don’t own most of the books on our list. I try to know something about the books I share though I certainly haven’t read all of the books featured, whereas with this list neither rule applies. But since it’s Valentine’s Day, we have to features some romantic Valentine’s Day books. It just feels like a rule not to break. And on the same note of romantic literary things, one of these years we want to update this site with a new list of favorite literary couples. It’s just that such a list requires more time, and I’m not always long on the time that we need for such a list.

ROMANTIC VALENTINE’S DAY BOOKS
note: some of these are secular novels, and would be PG-13 reading
SO, THIS IS LOVE, TRACY ANDREEN
A sequel to the author’s So This Is Christmas, we’re kicking off with a book I own (and I discovered that I do, surprisingly, own quite a few below). Goodreads
ONCE UPON A WINTER’S HEART, MELODY CARLSON
I did own this one, probably the only one I did in this section, years ago and did read the book. It’s a quick and fun read about a Scrooge-ish heroine who hates Valentine’s Day. Goodreads
YOUR HEART’S DESIRE, MELODY CARLSON
This one doesn’t specifically say it’s Valentine’s Day, but how can it not be with that cover, right? Plus it begins on New Years Day (in the 40s) and features a heroine working in a chocolate factory. Goodreads
P.S. I STILL LOVE YOU, JENNY HAN
Yes, I own this one, but did forget that this has a Valentine section, in which Lara Jean bakes her boyfriend a dessert and makes him a card, and he gives her a poem that aren’t his words. But still, I don’t take issue with that, it’s still cute. Goodreads
11 PAPER HEARTS, KELSEY HARTWELL
Part of the YA collection from Underlined, this novel is one I own! It sounds interesting about a teen who was in a car accident a year ago around Valentine’s Day and this year begins to receive mysterious paper hearts from an admirer. Goodreads
MY FAKE VALENTINE, KELLIE MCALLEN
I guess I fibbed because here’s another book I did own once upon a time. I think I donated it at some point because I didn’t fall head over heels in love with it after reading the novel, but I think it’s still a cute read. The trope is the “fake dating” romance, and while the characters are fun, the plot itself didn’t hold my interest. Goodreads
THE NO-SHOW, BETH O’LEARY
Another one I actually own! I’m doing better with books I own than I thought. But anyway, this one says it centers on Valentine’s Day and is about a man who stands up three women on Valentine’s Day. Or does he? Goodreads
THE DO-OVER, LYNN PAINTER
This one is like a Groundhog Day premise only it centers on Valentine’s Day, and Lynn Painter seems to be a well-liked author right now. Goodreads
HE’S SO NOT MY VALENTINE, SAVANNAH SCOTT
Don’t know a thing about this one, but it’s obviously very on theme with that title and I do know readers on my Instagram page love Savannah’s books. Goodreads
MY PHONY VALENTINE, COURNTEY WALSH
I don’t own this one, but its title and pink hues is just too perfect not to include. Plus I did just buy four Kindle copies to share in my content updates for free downloads. So, I mean technically I did purchase this one, and everywhere I turn there are readers gushing about this one (and likely its upcoming March sequel) including high Amazon ratings. Goodreads
LONELY HEARTS DAY, KASIE WEST
Only released as an ebook from what I can see, this is a novella that covers four Valentine Days. Goodreads
A SUGARLOAF VALENTINE, ROSEMARY WHITTAKER
A bakery owner must confront her past when her ex commissions her bakery to create sweet message cookies for his girlfriend. Goodreads
ROYAL VALENTINE, SARIAH WILSON
A short novella (71 pages I think) read, this is part of a collection of shorts written by popular authors. Goodreads
BONUS! ROCKY ROAD, BECKY WADE
This one isn’t Valentine’s Day per se, but it releases today, so we have to give it a shout-out! Plus, it’s one I’m super excited to read having loved the main character, Jude, from the pervious book. As a bonus, it also matches our vibes perfectly. Goodreads

Linking Up with That Artsy Reader Girl February 13: Love Freebie (in honor of Valentine’s Day tomorrow)
I rarely read romance novels I should scrutinize your list for some new reading ideas.
Part of the fun of visiting all the lists, right? Discover some new possible reads. :)
These sound interesting. I had to go back quite a way to make a list of Romance books as I don’t read them that often. I have a few on my TBR.
Have a great week!

I always enjoy a good romance novel so I probably own way too many. ;) But for this list I wanted to confine it to more Valentine’s Day themes which means, for once, I don’t own all of these. :)
These all sound super romantic.
I try to include books I’ve read in TTT topics as much as possible, but sometimes come up with nothing and have to pick random books instead.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
I like to at least own the book and knowing something about it though having read them all, that usually isn’t something I accomplish (though I’d like to!). But this week since I wanted to focus in on Valentine’s books, I did break my own rule. Thanks, as always, for visiting, Lydia!
I haven’t read any of these books.

Thanks so much for visiting, Laurie. :)
I LOVED The Phony Valentine and I think I am planning to read Savannah Scott’s Valentine book…the other books have cute covers, but that’s all I know about them, LOL! Have a great week!
I love a cute cover so I confess I am always drawn towards a fun cover. ;) And you too! hope you had a great week, Cindy.
I’ve not read any of these, but several of them sounds really fun! I’ll definitely have to look into them. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Always fun to discover more possible reads. :) Thanks for visiting.
Oh, what a fun list! I loved The No-Show and the Jenny Han series, and there are a couple of other books I’m sure I’d enjoy too! Royal Valentine was fun too, I loved all of the Improbable Meet-Cute series!
I haven’t read any of that Meet-Cute series but I saw lots of people share it and I have zero doubt there’s fun inside their pages. Jenny’s books are charming and I look forward to reading Beth’s, too!
I have The Do-Over on my list this week as well. I enjoyed reading The No-Show, though I got angry with him as the story went on until I understood what was happening.

That’s fair, Pam! I haven’t read The No Show yet, but based on the synopsis, I can see where the reader would become annoyed with this dude. I’m looking forward to discovering that one though. :)
The No-Show is one of my favourite books of all time! Lots of lovely sounding books here x
I’m so pleased to know this, Caroline. :) I hope it’s one I too enjoy; it sure sounds like a fun read. :)
My Phony Valentine is such a good story. And I am so excited to read Rocky Road. Hope you’ll get to all these books soon. 😀
Me too, Nicole! And I should make time to read Courtney’s soon since I have previously enjoyed her novels. :)
I didn’t know there were so many books focused on Valentine’s Day. The Do-Over is a cute story, i listened last year
Great list! I love the sound of PS I Still Love You, especially since I read the first book in the series and liked it. The rest of these are new to me, but the covers are so pretty, and I like how you incorporated Valentine’s Day as a theme for your list instead of simply listing romances.
