With Guy Ritchie directing, Prime Video will produce an eight-part series based on the novels by Andy Lane, Young Sherlock Holmes. The series will have Hero Fiennes Tiffin in the titular role. It’s quite funny seeing that Ritchie will direct since he also directed the two feature films about Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr. as the detective and Jude Law as his friend and partner Dr. John Watson. This series is said to be an “exhilarating” new way of seeing this detective and the show is said to “crack open this enigmatic character” to find out just why he is the way he is. Will you watch this?
After last week’s third Knives Out mystery announcement, the cast is stacking up. The cast, so far includes Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, and Andrew Scott. Plus the very latest announcement is Mila Kunis. Rian Johnson will return to direct and Daniel Craig will return as detective in the previously titled, Wake Up Dead Man, mystery.
In other British crime dram news, September 15 will see the second series drop of the Lesley Manville mystery that’s first season was Magpie Murders. Series two will be Moonflower Murders, and will follow another mystery for Susan to solve. The tailer is here too.
