THE TEN BOOKS ON MY FALL 2024 TBR LIST

It feels like summer should, in no way, be over. Yet here we are ready to look at the titles we are placing on our fall 2024 TBR list. Some of the books we’re going to feature are, as usual, titles we likely won’t get to or books that I’ve had on many seasonal TBR lists (and still haven’t read). As is true of each of these seasonal lists, I still enjoy putting these together.

THE TEN BOOKS ON MY FALL 2024 TBR LIST. Sharing a list of titles I would like to read on a fall TBR list. #Books #TBR #FallBooks #FallReads #BookList #TopTen #TopTenBooks Share on X

Let’s see what books fit on my seasonal fall TBR list, hopefully some that will be appropriately atmospheric and fun to enjoy this time of year. Mostly I’m going to try and feature titles I already own because I need to read more I own rather than keep growing the collection. I didn’t look back at my Summer TBR (it always feels too embarrassing to do so), but I think I actually did read a few from the TBR. Here’s the list of TBR titles I wouldn’t mind reading.

FALL 2024 TBR LIST

DRINKER OF INK, SHANNON CASTLETON

I’ve been told that this book is quite good (by two bookish friends!) so I’m curious, and the result of it on my shelf is because I bought it after one recommendation. It seems like a good fall read, too. Goodreads

KATHERINE CENTER BOOKS

I had ‘anything’ by Katherine on my Summer TBR, and I did read one book by her. The second one I read by her wasn’t one I loved in the way I did Happiness for Beginners, but I’m hoping to still enjoy more by her, and perhaps a third book would be the one to break the tie. I own The Bodyguard and The Rom-Commers and I haven’t read either yet. Goodreads

MEDDLING with MISTLETOE, LIZ JOHNSON

Received this one from the publisher and as someone who enjoyed two of the books in the series (I don’t think I read the other ones), I hope to enjoy this one. Goodreads

THE VANISHING STAIR, MAUREEN JOHNSON

I’ve had this one on a seasonal TBR list or two in the past, but haven’t read it. Still given that I read book one in this series, it would seem a good idea to read book two. Goodreads

ONE WRONG MOVE, DANI PETTREY

A mystery novel, One Wrong Move is Dani’s latest and I still haven’t read it. Fall is as good a time as any to enjoy a mystery or two. Goodreads

THE MYSTERY GUEST, NITA PROSE

Pretty sure I had this one on one (or multiple?) other TBR lists, and I had every intention of reading it this summer… but behind the scenes things is dampening my enthusiasm for reading, so that didn’t happen. However, as it’s a mystery, perhaps autumn is the better time to read it anyway. Goodreads

FOREVER GEEK, HOLLY SMALE

It’s been a long time since reading book one Geek Girl, but I’d still love to read more in this series. Plus, watching the Netflix series this past summer based on book one reminds me how well I love the world of Harriet Manners. Goodreads

JUST BETWEEN US and JUST GO WITH IT, MADISON WRIGHT

I had book one in this series on my Summer TBR (and whether I’ve read it is up in the air since I’m prepping this ahead of summer’s end! edit, I didn’t so we’re adding it to this list too), so adding this one seems a good motivation reminding me to read book one. Plus, that cover looks cozy and autumnal. ‘Between’ on Goodreads • ‘Go’ on Goodreads

  1. I hope to read Rom-Commers soon; it’s almost my turn to get it from the library. I loved The Bodyguard but found Hello Stranger a bit difficult to read.

  2. Yes to Christmas reads! I hope you’re able to get through as many of them as you want to. It’s difficult to do when other new and exciting books pop up on your list. Right?!?

  3. THE MYSTERY GUEST and THE GREATEST CRIME OF THE YEAR are both on my list today, too. We’re discussing the former for book club on Thursday, so I need to get it started ASAP! I loved THE MAID, so I’m excited for the sequel. I also love that Maureen Johnson series. I’ve read several books by Center and enjoyed them all. I hope you enjoy the ones you choose to read this Fall.

    Happy TTT!

    1. YAY! Glad to read all of this, Susan. I hope you enjoy The Mystery Guest as much as The Maid and I think Ally’s book looks like SUCH fun. Hope we enjoy them both. I’m hopeful to find more of Katherine’s that are great reads. :)

  4. I have heard a lot of great things about Drinker of Ink as well. It has piqued my interest but hasn’t made it to my TBR list. I read The Bodyguard by Catherine Center, and while I liked it, the cursing got on my nerves (oversensitive to cursing, not necessarily a ton of it). I do have One Wrong Move on my TBR, but that is as far as it has gotten. Have a great week!

    1. I hope to enjoy Dani’s book AND more of Katherine’s too. I’m not into overuse of profanity either, but I think the two I’ve read by Katherine are “better” compared to some secular fiction but I do know what you mean. Hoping Drinker of Ink is a good one. :)

    1. That’s good; I don’t expect to read most of these especially since I’m unexpectedly busy with a task right now, but I like making these lists. :) I’m so happy you enjoyed Katherine’s and Nita’s books. I’m hoping both are great.

    1. I am right there with you, Leah! There are SO many books I see everyone and never read. I’ve been meaning to read Nita’s follow up sequel but haven’t yet. Perhaps before the Christmas book releases (this month I think?) maybe I will. :) Hopefully we’ll both enjoy Drinker of Ink.
