THE SUMMER 2024 TBR BOOKS THAT WOULD BE LOVELY TO READ
It’s time for yet another seasonal TBR. This day it’s time to talk about our summer 2024 TBR titles. Like each seasonal reading list, chances are, I won’t finish this list as is, but I still enjoy putting together seasonal list of possible titles to read. Plus, I do want to read these, it just isn’t likely I’ll read them over the summer.
LIST | SUMMER MOVIES PERFECT TO ADD TO YOUR STREAMING LIST
THE SUMMER TBR BOOKS THAT WOULD BE LOVELY TO READ. Sharing a list of summer books to possibly (but probably not) read in the coming months! #SummerTime #SummerReads #SummerReading Share on XI’m going to have to take a look at what books I think would be lovely to read over this summer. Plus, I always think maybe I’ll surprise myself and actually read one or two from these seasonal TBR titles. Let’s meet the summer 2024 TBR titles.
SUMMER 2024 TBR TITLES
[ANYTHING BY] KATHERINE CENTER
I read Happiness for Beginners in 2023, so reading something else by the author is high on my priority list. The Rom-Commers and Things we Save in the Fire (just started this one!) are two I already own, and I saw someone raving about The Rom-Commers on Instagram. Goodreads
KISS THE GIRL, ZORAIDA CORDOVA
A series that connects by its fairytale esque elements but is written by various different authors. This one is, if the title doesn’t give it away, a Little Mermaid retelling. Seeing as this is a mermaid tale, this seems like an ideal read for summer. Goodreads
MY LADY JANE, CYNTHIA HAND, BRODI ASHTON and JODI MEADOWS
I have this one on my list not just because of its “time served” shelf space, but also because Amazon adapted the book as a miniseries. Edit: I will also confess I did read this one between prepping this and publishing. Goodreads
DRIVE YOU CRAZY, JESSICA KATE
I loved Jessica’s A Girl’s Guide to the Outback, so reading her latest release seems like a must. Goodreads
JUST FRIENDS FOREVER, MARTHA KEYES
I’ve been seeing books by Martha on Instagram off and on for a long time now. I’ve never read one though, so adding this one maybe seems like a good idea and possibly inspiration to actually read it. Goodreads
THE MYSTERY GUEST, NITA PROSE
I didn’t adore The Maid (well I did up until a point), but I think I’m still going to read this followup and see what’s going on in the world of the heroine. Goodreads
THE UNSINKABLE GRETA JAMES, JENNIFER E. SMITH
This one might be a little too sad for me, but if I can get past that, I may give this one a chance. It’s an adult novel by Jennifer, who is perhaps better known for her young adult novels. The story follows a singer who loses her mother and has to rebuild her life. Goodreads
[ANYTHING BY] SOPHIE SULLIVAN
I’ve been meaning to read something by Sophie for a long time. I haven’t picked on up despite owning three (I think) by her. Goodreads
LOVE & GELATO, JENNA EVANS WELCH
This novel has been on my shelf for a long time. It looks and sounds darling, and while I’m sure I’ve had it on past TBR lists, it remains unread. Edit: Since drafting this, I have also read and finished this novel. Goodreads
JUST GO WITH IT, MADISON WRIGHT
I think I saw this author on another person’s book list or social media. But the books by this author, which would be new to me, look as cute as they sound. Goodreads
What books did you put on your summer 2024 TBR lists? Do any of these sound interesting? Do any of them seem like books you may enjoy? Have you read any of them? Comment all of the TBR thoughts below! Let’s meet in the comments.

Linking up with That Artsy Reader Girl June 18: Books on My Summer 2024 To-Read List
I love My Lady Jane. I thought it was very funny.
I quite enjoyed it too, Anne! Lots of fun for sure. :)
I have a couple of Sophie Sullivan books on my TBR. I hope to give them a read this year.

Thanks, Pam! I hope so too. I may pick up one of those next (if I keep reading) once I finish Things We Save in a Fire. :)
I’ve had Love and Gelato on my TBR forever too. I’d like to read The Rom-Commers.
I hope you enjoy Love and Gelato, Ellie AND hopefully we’ll both find The Rom-Commers fun. I’ve seen some gushing on Instagram, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. ;)
I read Love and Gelato years ago and was able to finish it in one day.

It’s a very easy book to do that with! Though it’s quite unusual for me, I think I read most of it on Saturday. :)
Kiss the Girl sounds adorable.
I think so too! :)
Hope you get to read a few and enjoy them!
Thanks! I did read two already (I drafted this before I read them) and am reading one of Katherine Center’s so for me that’s pretty good. ;)
Nice list! I LOVE the Lady Janes/Mary series. I’ve listened to all the books on audio and just really enjoyed them. I’m also a big Center fan. I’m working on her backlist. I really liked THE MAID. My book club is reading THE MYSTERY GUEST in a couple of months, so I’m going to reread THE MAID first, then the sequel. I hope you enjoy all these when you get to them!
Happy TTT!

How fun! Hope your book club enjoys The Mystery Guest; I hope to read that one yet (after the in progress reads I have) because I think it’d be nice to read it sort of close to my reading of The Maid. Also, I enjoyed My Lady Jane. Silly and fun, just as I anticipated. And yeah for another Center fan! I’m enjoying Things You Save in a Fire, though perhaps not quite as well as ‘Happiness,’ which is the first I read by her.
This looks like a great list of fun books. I hope you love them all.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Thanks so much! I hope so too.
Love and gelato is cute and love the Italian setting :) hope you can read it and enjoy it
I want to read kiss the girl too and I’m so excited for the next book, its inspired in tangled
I hope to enjoy “Kiss the Girl.” It sure looks fun, and I love the idea of a “Tangled” retelling, too! That’s one of my favorite “new” Disney animated movies. :) Thanks for visiting, Vero!
Great list, Rissi! I adore Katherine Center, and two of her books I always recommend are What You Wish For and How to Walk Away. If you like audiobooks, I highly recommend the audiobook version of How to Walk Away. It was wonderful. The Mystery Guest is a great book too. Happy Reading!
So glad to hear about The Mystery Guest. I think your two favorite Katherine Center novels are two I don’t own. I’ll have to pick them up though because I am buying her books here and there since I like what I’ve read by her so far; also so glad to know the audiobook is good. :)
Just Friends Again is one I want to read soonish, and Drive You Crazy I hope to read this summer! THANK you for gifting it to me!! I really appreciate it and can’t wait to read it (currently have a few ARCs to read (when will I learn, LOL)). I hope you enjoy any of these that you get a chance to read. Have a great week!
I hope we BOTH enjoy these, Cindy! I’m hoping Jessica’s is fun and Martha is an author I hear SO much about. Hoping to enjoy. :) I know that too-many-ARC feeling. I’ve been there.
I’ve been meaning to read Love & Gelato for years and never gotten around to it!
Its’ a sweet read! I hope if you read it, Bree, you enjoy. :)
My Lady Jane sounds spectacular and I hope you love it! This list looks like it’ll provide you with lost of happy summer reading!
I hope I enjoy these books, too. My Lady Jane is fun! I read it after drafting this list, but left it all the same. ;)
That just means you’re making quick progress on the list already ;)!
I’d like to think so! We’ll see how well it goes in the coming weeks of summer. :)
I’ve been wanting to read Love and Gelato for ages. I hope you loved it and will love any other books you read this summer!
Love & Gelato is sweet! (I read it after drafting the list.) Sweet and easy reading similar to Kasie West novels. :)
My Lady Jane is a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy!
Thanks, Alicia. I did enjoy it; I’d read it after drafting/prepping this list, and just left it anyway. ;)
This is a great list, Rissi! I’m not familiar with most of these books, although the covers are so pretty that I’m intrigued by a bunch. And I didn’t realize that My Lady Jane was getting made into a series, but that one is already on my TBR. How exciting!
It is always exciting when a book gets film or series treatment. In this case I like My Lady Jane WAY better as a book, but I suspect most will adore the series. :) Let me know what you think of the book (or series!) if you read it, Leah. :)
