If you’re into western TV, both modern and those dramas set in the right time period, you may be interested to know that Netflix is developing a “reboot” of Little House on the Prairie. This according to multiple outlets. Plus, Netflix also has a tweet confirming it. This isn’t the first time Netflix has tackled literature that is considered classic for children. They will also be adapting The Chronicles of Narnia with Barbie filmmaker Greta Gerwig helming. According to Netflix, this will reimagine the classic and will be “Part family drama, part survival tale, and part origin story…” NBC ran the original ‘Little House’ show in the late 70s, which was based on the novels by its heroine, Laura Ingalls Wilder. The show had Michael Landon Jr. as Charles Ingalls (the patriarch) and Melissa Gilbert as Laura.

According to Masterpiece’s official Twitter page, there will be a third adaptation in the series that began with Magpie Murders. Their tweet reads “Exciting news, fans of #MagpieMurdersPBS and #MoonflowerMurdersPBS — Susan and Atticus will return! We’re excited to announce that Marble Hall Murders, the final book in Anthony Horowitz’s series, is being adapted for MASTERPIECE.” Have you been watching this show? The main cast of Lesley Manville and Tim McMullan will return and the show’s third season, also being adaptation by Anthony Horowitz will film this spring with more cast announcements likely to be made.

Netflix will drop the latest Kate Hudson led comedy in February with Running Point. The show will follow Hudson as the only girl in a family of guys who winds up taking over the family basketball team. I think this show could be quite fun (and it will also have Max Greenfield), but what annoys me is the appearance (based on promotional material) that all the dudes are going to be losers, idiots or immoral. I have zero issue with Hudson’s Isla becoming a boss, but I don’t think in 2025 (when we’re supposed to be beyond this stuff), we should do one thing at the cost of another. FYI, in 2025, you can have cool and smart male and female characters. The series if from Mindy Kaling and will drop the 27th of February. The trailer is below, what do YOU think?
