‘MY ARGENTINE HEART’: BUSINESSWOMAN WORKS TO SAVE FAMILY RANCH
Super cute doodle promotion makes My Argentine Heart stand out, but for me, it’s not a favorite.
My Argentine Heart (2025) Hallmark TV Film Review
Returning home to Argentina, where her dad is from, is a good change for Abril (Julie Gonzalo), especially since it means revisiting her family ranch. Her plan is simple, she’s back to ensure her ex doesn’t gain ownership. She isn’t going to stand by and let him run the place she loves. However, unexpected things come up which forces Abril to work with her ex (Juan Pablo Di Pace) in order to see her family’s home doesn’t fall into the hands of the wrong owners.

From the start of their ‘Winter Escape’ lineup, this is the one that I thought seemed least interesting. Admittedly this is a bias to do with some of the cast (based on articles I’ve read). Regardless, I decided to watch My Argentine Heart and while there is a lot I didn’t love about it, like anything, the conclusion is the same, it’s cute. I do love the setting too and weirdly the fact they don’t spontaneously (in public) dance, although the fashion choices, well that isn’t a favorite.
Having seen her Christmas movie A Novel Romance, it was fun to see Julie in something again and I love some of the story threads in this film. The role is also fun for her I’m sure since her bio says she lived in Argentina for some of her childhood. Penned by a familiar TV romance writer, Joie Botkin, the writer also penned last year’s Trading Up Christmas, which was one of my favorites of 2024.
If you like this genre of films or either of the stars, My Argentine Heart is another worthwhile film.
