How many do you recognize? #TheChickenSisters #FavoriteCharacters Share on XFrom sisters to trios of siblings and siblings that find each other in unique ways, I think there’s a pretty good group of siblings to spotlight on this list of characters. Let’s mee them all, shall we?
BEST SIBLINGS from TV (and FILM, too!)
AMANDA and MAE from THE CHICKEN SISTERS
These two aren’t warm and cozy sisters who stick together through everything. But I do think they are good women and despite their hardships, when push comes to shove, I also think they’d support each other. Plus, we get to see them bond during an impromptu sleepover.

ANNIE and HALLIE from THE PARENT TRAP
I mean these two are iconic, right? Most especially for any moviegoer who falls into the millennial generation. Lindsay Lohan plays both twins in this 1998 film, which is a remake of the 1960s film with Hayley Mills. Annie and Hallie are classic and spunky, and both have sass.

THE COVEY SISTERS from TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE
These girls are fabulous. I love some of their really sweet and tender scenes together. From tears to laughter, they seem to always be sticking together, which isn’t always simple or easy, but is admirable.
Stream the ‘To All the Boys’ trilogy, at publication, exclusively with Netflix
JOE and BRIAN HACKETT from WINGS
These two. They fight and don’t always get along, but at the start of the show, they are coming back together to bond and fix their relationship. It’s mostly good but of course, they have their scrappy fights and it doesn’t help that they both crush on the same girl (for a while).

Stream Wings, at publication, with Paramount+ or Pluto TV; or digitally rent / purchase on places like Prime Video
BETTY and JUDY HAYNES from WHITE CHRISTMAS
These two are classics. They form a sister duo who are entertainers with an act that shows off their impressive vocal talents. Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen play Betty and Judy.

SOME OF THE BEST SIBLINGS ON OUR SCREENS. #Sibling characters from our favorite films and TV shows. #HeartsAroundtheTable #ToAllTheBoys #TheChickenSisters #Hallmark #FavoriteCharacters Share on XTHE ‘HEARTS’ SIBLINGS from HEARTS AROUND THE TABLE, film collection
Five siblings become six in this quartet of films. I don’t think there is ever a formal adoption for this family in this story collection from Hallmark, but the love and bonds are there. There is four adults (the character’s each film follows) and two teens that come into their foster home later in life, but they welcome these two still with love and they all consider each other family. They’re memorable and very deserving of a best siblings on TV mention.

KAT and BIANCA from 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU
These two are at odds, yes, but in the end, I think they deeply care for each other and their well being. The personalities of these two are both fun albeit very different.
Stream 10 Things I Hate About You, at publication, with Disney+; or digitally rent / purchase on places like Prime Video
KATNISS and PRIM from THE HUNGER GAMES
Katniss is the protector and Prim the protected, but Prim has her strengths too, they just look very different than what Katniss possesses. The film (throughout the series) has nice moments between Katniss and her sister even if they aren’t the usual cozy moments we love.
Digitally rent / purchase The Hunger Games, at publication, on places like Prime Video
ALEX, MALLORY and JENNIFER KEATS from FAMILY TIES
Technically the Keats family is four siblings, but since the youngest comes along later, we don’t really get to know him in the way we do the three older siblings. They are all different personalities and while some do fall into the stereotypical tropes, I do like them as falling into the (or some of!) best siblings on TV category.

Stream Family Ties, at publication, with Paramount+ or Pluto TV; or digitally rent / purchase on places like Prime Video
HANK and EVAN LAWSON from ROYAL PAINS
Like most of these siblings, these two have their conflicts. But in the end, they are good and I think the soapy medical drama does a nice job healing these two. Plus I just love the annoying-but-lovable banter between the brothers.
Stream Royal Pains, at publication, with Hulu, Max, Plex or The Roku Channel; or digitally rent / purchase on places like Prime Video
MAGGIE and ROSE from IN HER SHOES
Fighting seems to be the norm for these sisters. I mean Maggie does commit a cardinal sin against her sister. But the film is pretty good and ends up healing these two with the help of a sassy grandmother.
Digitally rent / purchase In Her Shoes, at publication, on places like Prime Video
RAMONA and BEEZUS aka BEATRICE from RAMONA and BEEZUS
This sibling duo is I think a pretty accurate picture of what it’s like to grow up with a sister. There are fights, and the older feels annoyed while the younger feels left out sometimes. It’s still all done in a cute way and ultimately, these two end up in a happy place.

ROSE and NORAH from SUNSHINE CLEANING
A film I have not seen, but one I know is about sisters, I feel like these two also fall into the stereotypical fighting-but-love-each-other bond. It has Emily Blunt and Amy Adams playing sisters who start a business cleaning crime scenes.
Stream Sunshine Cleaning, at publication, with Peacock, Plex, Pluto TV or Starz; or digitally rent / purchase on places like Prime Video
