THE SUMMER 2025 TBR BOOK LIST OF HAPPY POSSIBILITIES

Anytime a seasonal TBR list is made here, we all know that the usual rambling and opening applies. It goes something like I-want-to-read-these-but-won’t. Still, the intent is always good and while I don’t perhaps read them during the season they get a feature, the hope of “someday” reading them all remains. All this to say, it’s time to spotlight the Summer 2025 TBR books.

THE SUMMER 2025 TBR BOOK LIST OF HAPPY POSSIBILITIES. #SummerTBR #Summertime #SummerReading #Summer #SummerReads Share on X

I’m not really sure what I’ll find because I find that I’m less and less enthusiastic about the “must read” books releasing, so this means that new releases I would read are harder to find (because they don’t get the hype). Instead I try to focus on the books I already own (as always) and pick ones that are, yes, admittedly seasonal looking (because I am book shallow). Here we go!

SUMMER 2025 TBR BOOK LIST

Since I read so many books by Elizabeth (in her primary genre which is historical), reading this contemporary by her is a must! Now It also does have a really nice summer-like cover art, too. Goodreads

THE LOVE HATERS, KATHERINE CENTER

I mean with this cover we have to include this in a summer TBR list am I right? Really, I could put any of Katherine’s novels on this list though since I have been saying I want to read more of hers for, what, two years now? Goodreads

WE’LL ALWAYS HAVE SUMMER, JENNY HAN

I “Need” to read the final book in this series since I do plan to share thought on the final season of this Prime Video series. I have an idea of how I think the book will end, but Jenny Han says don’t let how the book goes fool you. In other words, she’s teasing some changes from book to adaptation. I have my doubts that they’ll be significant! What do you think? Goodreads

MEET ME at the FUDGE SHOP, LINDSAY HARREL

This one releases (in a week) soon and I have it on preorder so I figured I’d add it. Plus, it does have a kind of summer-like look, right? Goodreads

NO STONE UNTURNED, JENELLE HOVDE, july

Reading this one now. As it’s genre would dictate this one feels doubly “historical.” It doesn’t read like “just” a regency novel because the heroine is also into the past and history. But still, it does have its moments and I think the book borrows (just in terns of the typical regency “feels”) from stories like Jane Eyre. Goodreads

FOR the RECORD, EMMA LORD, august

I mean this one IS (presumably) inspired by the whole Taylor Swift thing, so of course I have to include it as a possible read pick. Whether I’ll like it or not is another matter. But it certainly looks fun. Goodreads

THE BREAK-UP PACT, EMMA LORD

Doubling up on the Emma Lord novels this time. (Also, why haven’t I read more of hers? They seem ideally summer-lke!) I mean this one looks so charming. It has all of those seasonal looks and just ideal reading for those hazy summer days. Goodreads

THE SUMMER 2025 TBR BOOK LIST OF HAPPY POSSIBILITIES. The annual seasonal TBR list is here. Will I read them? Probably not! But it's still fun.

THE SPY and I, TIANA SMITH

I bought this one recently, and it sounds fun. It also looks (which could be a misjudge) like it could be a fun little summertime read. Plus don’t we all enjoy a fun spy novel sometimes? Goodreads

IF ALL ELSE SAILS, EMMA ST. CLAIR, august

How fun and cute does this one look? Seems like the most ideal summer read, but more than that, maybe this will finally be the book I read by beloved author Emma St. Clair. Goodreads

What are the books on your new summer 2025 TBR book list? How may of these have you… or would you read? Comment all of you book or seasonal TBR thoughts below! Let’s chat in the comments.

Thank you for visiting; please do return again soon.

    1. I need to make more of an effort to read the books on my shelf and I do intend/want to. Katherine’s books are good (or what I’ve read) so I’m eager to read more. :)

    1. It is. Definitely not something I normally read (I used to read a TON of historical, but don’t really now), but it’s still been interesting. :)

  1. I like the sound of No Stone Unturned! Also, I’m terrible at sticking to lists as well, and I’m definitely not up to date on all the new releases. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

    1. I just binged The Summer I Turned Pretty show this past month and while it is dramatic and “soapy,” I was more impressed than I thought I’d be. :)

  2. I did not know that Elizabeth Camden wrote a contemporary novel!! Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed If All Else Sails, and maybe it will be the one you finally read, LOL! I almost grabbed a Lindsay Harrel book at the library today (Meet Me at the Grand), but I decided to wait. Have a great week!

    1. I know, right? Isn’t it cool to see Camden’s name on a contemporary? I’m SO used to seeing her historical releases. Hoping to read more by her soon-ish. :) Hope you enjoy Lindsay’s if you read it. It sure looks fun! :)
