‘ALL ABOARD FOR LOVE’ IS A CUTE LITTLE SUMMER ROMANCE

A film from Brain Power Studios, All Aboard for Love is cute though not one that is likely to standout.

All Aboard for Love (2023) Film Review

Running her family’s marina as manager is something Alison (Kathryn Davis) takes seriously. Now that her parents are retired, Alison is ready to leave this life behind which involves a new adventure as soon as the new manager is ready to run the place. As her numbered days tick down, she meets, Joel (Ish Morris). A world traveler who is taking a break from the business his father built, Joel is visiting to spend time on the boat his family hasn’t used for years now.

As both Alison and Joel try to navigate what’s next and learn that sometimes the unexpected is the best kind of surprise.

‘ALL ABOARD FOR LOVE’ IS A CUTE LITTLE SUMMER ROMANCE. Review of the film with Kathryn Davis. #RomCom #SummerRomance #SummerMovie Share on X

From a production company that frequently has films acquired for network premieres (by Hallmark and the like), this film is, like so many before it, cute. And as I always say, yes I know it’s a broken record to say that. But what else is there to say? The film has some charm though it gets really dramatic all inspired by Alison’s choice (which is ridiculous). It’s an ideal little movie to watch after a long day outside enjoying summer.

Another big pro is seeing Kathryn Davis. I really enjoy her in other roles including Welcome to Valentine and then she can also be seen in the recent(ish) Hallmark title Unwrapping Christmas: Mia’s Prince. Like so many other TV film peers, she has this cheerful effect that makes her instantly likable, and I’ve (so far) enjoyed the characters she’s played. With exception to the odd supporting role here and there, I hadn’t seen Morris as lead, but they both do a good job with their characters, and he too plays a likable character.

The film plays out precisely as you can map five minutes in. But perhaps this is part of why these films are so endearing. The fact that we do understand and know what we’re getting makes it easy watching that doesn’t make us wonder what tragedy may be about to befall our favorite character. Long story short, All Abord for Love is something you’re certain to find cute and there are plenty of scenes that scream summertime so if simple and summer is what you’re looking for, well then, perhaps this is just what you need.

Content: Nothing to note really. There is a kiss or two and if it bothers you, one couple is in a same-sex relationship. The film has a TV-G rating.
