10 MOVIES TO WATCH IF YOU LOVE ‘THE WRONG PARIS’
The box office no longer seems to be the common place to find cute and (wonderfully) simple rom-coms. For this, now we seem to find them on places like Netflix where the library of titles grows and be, well, fun. One of the latest is The Wrong Paris, a film that inspires us to see what we can find to put on a movies like The Wrong Paris kind of roundup list. While not all are carbon copies, some of these we contest do offer similarities.
LIST | 12 OF THE IDEAL MOVIES TO WATCH FOR FALL
10 MOVIES TO WATCH IF YOU LOVE ‘THE WRONG PARIS.’ Movies to enjoy if you like #TheWrongParis, a 2025 #Netflix #romcom! #MirandaCosgrove Share on X
If you haven’t seen The Wrong Paris, it’s a charming good time following Miranda Cosgrove’s Dawn, a born and raised Texas girl who dreams of going to Paris and studying art. When her fund is short, she decides to audition for a reality dating show which is about to film in Paris, using it to get her there. What she doesn’t expect is the cute bachelor starring in the show or that this Paris is a little bit too close to home. Let’s see what other titles we can find for us to enjoy if you liked this 2025 romantic comedy!
MOVIES like THE WRONG PARIS
THE ENGAGEMENT PLOT
Trevor Donovan features in this film that is, like our subject, a story about a dating show. The film reads as being about a woman, Hannah (played by Rachel Boston) who after getting her heart broken on national TV returns home ready to put this behind her, little expecting to ever see the man who broke her heart again.

FALLING INN LOVE
This is about a heroine who wins a very different competition. Winning an inn sends her to New Zealand where she meets a cute (of course! which we love) contractor. Christina Millian and Adam Demos star in this film about not belonging or being underrated only to prove people wrong as she makes these new circumstances work.

IRISH WISH
This film, also a Netflix exclusive, has no real connection to The Wrong Paris other than it does travel (to Ireland) and it’s about a woman thinking she wants one thing only to discover there is more than her one dream in store for her. The film is really cute and has Lindsay Lohan return to her rom-com roots. It’s also a film that may remind you of Just My Luck which also features Lohan.

LOVE, FOR REAL
This is another reality TV romance which comes from Hallmark. The plot is about best friends who join a dating reality show only to find complications get in the way. Chloe Bridges and Corbin Bleu are two recognizable names appearing in this one, which I haven’t seen, but the film sure does look stunning.

MONTE CARLO
Selena Gomez stars in this as one in a trio of friends (who don’t start as this) who go on a European adventure that ends up being mediocre, only for Gomez’s Grace ends up being mistaken for a wealthy heiress which sweeps them into the wealthy and beautiful world of luxury. The film may be silly, but it really is 100 kinds of fun and lets us enjoy some armchair travel. Katie Cassidy and Leighton Meester co-star along with Luke Bracey and Corey Monteith. The film shares the Texas connection in common as well as a girl saving up while dreaming of European travel. This one, even without the reality TV angle, feels very much an appropriate title for this movies like The Wrong Paris list.

MY ONE and ONLY
Pascale Hutton (from When Calls the Heart) features in this Hallmark romance about a woman who, quite reluctantly, ends up being a bachelorette on a reality show where the bachelor, Oliver (played by Stephen Huszar) may be the ideal mate – or could it be Alex (played by Sam Page), the ranch owners son?

THE PERFECT DATE
A cute little Netflix title that no one seems to talk about, this has Noah Centineo playing Books, a college student who starts a business as the “perfect date” for anyone. So, if you need a date tailored to a specific event, he becomes “whoever you want him to be.” The film is simple but cute and also features Laura Marano, Camila Mendes and Matt Walsh.

THE PERFECT PAIRING
This title shares two common things with The Wrong Paris. One is its lead star Victoria Justice is also a Nickelodeon kid and secondly, it’s a film on Netflix. It doesn’t have the reality show angle, but it does have a girl trying to move her career forward (which she comes to realize isn’t her dream) and being a fish out of water in new surroundings that is because she tries to impress her boss.

THE REALITY of LOVE
A title that has been floating around for years and one I saw in more recent years, this one is also known as I Want to Marry Ryan Banks and has a young Bradly Cooper playing an assistant to a popular movie star (played by Jason Priestley) who is currently starring as the bachelor on a reality dating show. Trouble arises when a woman ends up falling in love with Cooper all while competing on this reality show.
Stream, at publication, with Plex*, Roku* or Tubi; or find streaming on Peacock or Prime Video. *Note; on these streamers, the film is under ‘I Want to Marry Ryan Banks’
RUNAWAY ROMANCE
This follows a woman who became, by accident, a reality TV star and expects her boyfriend is getting ready to propose. When she loses her star and her guy, she returns to Pennsylvania where, while stranded, she meets Hunter. The film features Danielle C. Ryan, a familiar face to the TV romance, and Trevor Donovan!

MORE to CONSIDER
While not really “similar” in plot or concept, if you like the Netflix rom-com, consider these other titles, all currently exclusively streaming on Netflix. Note; with exception to one of these, I’ve seen the these (below) and they’re sweet!
- one: La Dolce Villa
- two: Love at First Sight
- three: Love at the Villa
- four: Love, Guaranteed
- five: Resort to Love
- six: That’s Amor!
