HOW I RANK THE 2020 LIFETIME CHRISTMAS ROMANCE, PART 2

If you see this title and think, “um, you already did this,” then you are correct. But here’s the deal. I started a 2020-2021 post in order to have my thoughts poised for next year when I decided I didn’t want to carry over that many 2020 titles into 2021. So… with that said, I thought, hey, why not publish a Lifetime Christmas 2020 rankings, part 2, and have some fun? Or at least I’ll be having fun.

“PART 2” TITLES I RANK: 1: Christmas at the Castle (2020) | 2: Christmas Break (2020) | 3: A Christmas Exchange | 4: Once Upon a Main Street (2020) | 5: My Sweet Holiday (2020) | 6: Spotlight on Christmas (2020) | 7: A Sugar and Spice Holiday (2020) | 8: A Welcome Home Christmas (2020)

LIFETIME CHRISTMAS 2020 RANKINGS, PART 2

8: Christmas at the Castle

This is one that Lifetime (same with ‘Spotlight’ from what I understand) acquired. It’s got a cute concept, but the production quality is lacking, although I do appreciate that the guy knows the “secret” before confessions roll around. The film is TV-PG/G

7: A Christmas Break (2020)

Like so many of these, there’s nothing really “wrong” with this title, it’s just one of those middle-of-the-road titles that is cheerful and cute, but ultimately forgettable. That said, I do enjoy seeing Cindy Sampson (from Private Eyes), however if you want this type of story, you’re better off with Spotlight on Christmas, another of Lifetime’s 2020 debuts. The film is TV-G/PG lifetime christmas 2020 rankings part 2

6: My Sweet Holiday (2020)

This one is, like its title, quite sweet. I’m surprised I enjoyed it as well as I do. The film is TV-PG

5: Spotlight on Christmas (2020)

This one is cute, but isn’t dynamically memorable. Still I like its leading lady (Tori Anderson) and do like the leading dude too (plus his character is so nice!). The film is TV-PG

4: Once Upon a Main Street (2020)

Pretty sure the main reason I like this one so well is Ryan McPartlin, who I also like in the now cancelled NBC comedy, Chuck. The plot suffers some serious timeline flaws, but Vanessa Lachey and Ryan are cute in the film, and the friendly competition makes this more fun. The film is TV-PG lifetime christmas 2020 rankings part 2

3: A Welcome Home Christmas

I don’t think I’m the biggest fan of Jana Kramer as an actress. She’s almost too smile-y in this role, and another thing I don’t love about this (not attributed to Kramer) is the whole Santa Clause bit. That said, there is a lot of spark-y chemistry, and I am a softie for military romances, so I would re-watch this one! The film is TV-PG

2: A Christmas Exchange

This is one I anticipated liking early on; it’s like a mix of The Holiday meets You’ve Got Mail. I, of course, adore the former film, so seeing this is something I hoped to enjoy, and for the most part, I very much do! The film is TV-PG

1: A Sugar and Spice Holiday

This one is really darling. The baking part is fun, and I like the friends-to-more trope, plus this one ends just a little bit differently which is kind of a surprise. The film is TV-PG/G

When it comes right down to it, I’m pretty sure, adding in these titles would one-hundred percent shift around my part one rankings. Likely something like A Sugar and Spice Holiday and A Christmas Exchange would be vying for the top spot, and ‘Welcome’ would be up relatively high, while my later half ‘part one’ would mostly remain the same with the rest of these titles falling somewhere in between. Pretty sure, Christmas at the Castle wouldn’t be vying for least favorite; ‘Listing’ wins that easily.

With that said, what about you guys? Which of these have you seen; how would you order the Lifetime Christmas 2020 rankings?? Comment all of your thoughts down below.
