ERIN KRAKOW HALLMARK MOVIES AND WHERE TO WATCH THEM!
Back with another ‘Hallstars’ list where we look at the filmography of favorite Hallmark stars and what else we’ve seen them in. The feature today is a favorite for the network in both film and TV shows, and so we’re going to take a closer look at the Erin Krakow Hallmark movies and other titles you know her from as well.

ERIN KRAKOW HALLMARK MOVIES AND WHERE TO WATCH THEM! Looking at the many different roles of #ErinKrakow from #Hallmark! #Hallstars #HallmarkMovies Share on XKrakow is, of course, leading lady for the network’s super popular western period drama When Calls the Heart. Outside of her perhaps best-known role as Elizabeth Thatcher, she has other well-known roles as well, including but not limited to Hallmark. While most of her filmography is with Hallmark, we’re going to look at her first recuring role and a few of the shows she’s had a guest star role in. She also has producer credits on her When Calls the Heart show and one other rom-com with the network. Here we go – let’s have fun!
ERIN KRAKOW HALLMARK ROLES
WHEN CALLS the HEART, 2014 – present
Starting off way back in 2014, the western period drama inspired by (loosely said) the novels by Janette Oke, this drama is still going. It has Erin Krakow playing Elizabeth Thatcher, a proper city girl who leaves behind the trappings to teach children in a small town. The series is loved by many (it has almost an 8 out of 10 user rating), but for me, over the years, it lost its luster. This for more than one reason. The series will return in 2026!

Synopsis: A Hallmark Original Series. Elizabeth Thatcher, a cultured young teacher in 1910 leaves her comfortable world in the city and accepts a teaching position in a frontier town. – Hallmark+
A COOKIE CUTTER CHRISTMAS, 2014
In this film, cookies, obviously, play a big part as Erin makes her Countdown to Christmas movie debut. The film is about a rivalry. This happens when a single dad enrolls his daughter in a new school and two teachers vie for his affection. The film, from what I remember is way too silly, but I’m sure it’s one that many enjoy.
Synopsis: Two longtime rivals and elementary school teachers duke it out during the holidays in a Christmas cookie bake-off, but their real feud ignites over a shared interest in a handsome single dad. – Hallmark+
FINDING FATHER CHRISTMAS, 2016
Based on novels by Robin Jones Gunn, Finding Father Christmas marks the first in a trilogy of films. Teaming with Niall Matter, the story is about a woman who, after being orphaned as a kid, goes on a search for answers about her dad. The trio is rounded out by the same returning cast and the following two titles:
- Engaging Father Christmas, 2017
- Marrying Father Christmas, 2018
Synopsis: Raised by her mother, but orphaned at a young age at Christmas, Miranda (Erin Krakow) finds a clue that will take her to the truth about her father. Along the way, she finds romance and rekindles her Christmas spirit. – Hallmark+
A SUMMER ROMANCE, 2019
A cute script plays with the I-didn’t-expect-you-to-be-so-cute trope about Ryan Paevey’s businessman hero who takes a trip to Montana to purchase a ranch only for the owner to end up being a woman who he falls in love with.

Synopsis: Samantha’s Montana ranch is her family’s legacy, so when a developer shows up to buy it, Sam isn’t interested. But as he tries to win her trust and her ranch, Sam finds he might also be winning her heart. Erin Krakow, Ryan Paevey. – Hallmark+
SENSE, SENSIBILITY and SNOWMAN, 2019
In a kind of loose retelling of Sense and Sensibility, Erin plays Ella and Kimberley Sustad (our last Hallstar list feature subject) Marianne, sisters who co-own a party planning business. This version of Edward is a toy company CEO with whom the sisters have a business relationship but don’t work well with.
Synopsis: Christmas enthusiast party planners Ella and her sister Marianne clash with client Edward a not so jolly toy company CEO. – Hallmark+
IT WAS ALWAYS YOU, 2021
This one is the original cinematic romance pair up of Tyler Hynes with Erin (they are repairing in tonight’s Christmas debut) playing a man who ends up being in love with the fiancé of his brother.

Synopsis: Elizabeth’s engagement plans are thrown into disarray when her fiancé’s free-spirited brother David returns home. David’s unexpected influence prompts Elizabeth to question her life decisions. – Hallmark+
THE WEDDING COTTAGE, 2023
This one is about a woman who tries to convince the owner of a cottage to renovate it and allow her clients to host their wedding in the picturesque place. Krakow co-stars with another Hallmark favorite Brendan Penny.
Synopsis: A wedding guide creator must convince an uninspired artist and owner of a special wedding cottage to renovate the run down cottage to host a contest winning couple for their dream wedding. – Hallmark+
BLIND DATE BOOK CLUB, 2024
A bookstore owner and an author makes up the pairing here. A film that was also publicized pretty heavily, it’s one of those movies I wanted to like more than I did. Still, the bookstore setting is cute (of course!) and I do think this one is a fan favorite film.

Synopsis: A bookstore owner finds love and direction in life after agreeing to review a famous author’s new novel in her blind-date-with-a-book club. Stars Erin Krakow, Robert Buckley. – Hallmark+
SANTA TELL ME, 2024
From last year’s Countdown to Christmas, this one was super hyped because it reunites Erin with her former When Calls the Heart co-star. Daniel Lissing plays one of three heroes named Nick. The film is cute and follows a professionally successful designer who doesn’t have that same luck in love. The film is cute, but some of it gets too silly. Still, fans will love seeing not just this pairing on screen again but also favorite actors Christopher Russell and Benjamin Ayres in roles, too.

Synopsis: A design show host finds a letter from Santa promising to meet her true love, a man named Nick, by Christmas Eve. Meeting three Nicks complicates her search. – Hallmark+
CHRISTMAS ABOVE the CLOUDS, 2025
This is set to retell A Christmas Carol in a modern “comedic” reimagining. The film follows a workaholic named Ella Neezer who flies to Australia where, during the flight, she is confronted by the past, present and future and all of the things she has – and could lose. This is also the film that will see Krakow reteam with another of her former co-stars, Tyler Hynes, an actor we already featured in one of our Hallstars lists.

OTHER NON-HALLMARK ROLES
ARMY WIVES, 2010 – 2012
For eighteen episodes, Krakow starred in this drama that is her first credited role. She plays a specialist in the military and if memory serves me, I think her connection to the main characters is having been in love with one of the military sons of a core character.
Stream, at publication, on Hulu; or find free on places like The Roku Channel
CHANCE at ROMANCE, 2014
Technically yes, this film did air on Hallmark in 2014. However, while there are posters with the Hallmark branding, this one isn’t a Hallmark exclusive as of now, and presumably isn’t a title licensed to or with the network anymore. The film is also known as Friend Request and has Krakow being matchmade by the son of a single dad (played by Ryan McPartlin). Patricia Richardson co-stars.
Stream, at publication, with PixL as Friend Request
