TIME TO SPARKLE! GLITTERING NEW YEARS EVE PARTY DRESS IDEAS
I’m that person that literally does nothing. Unfortunately, I also have no where to go when it comes to Christmas events or a New Year’s Eve party. Sometimes I’m in the mood to stay home and not care, and other times, I think, “it’d be fun!” But whatever the scenario, the reality is, I have no one to go. Recently, I was browsing some boutique stores for a specific clothing staple I’d like to add to my closet only to run across some sparkly and shimmery things. The kind of seasonal fashion pieces that look like ideal New Year’s Eve fashion musts! As I browsed, I thought, “oooo! I’d like that,” before realizing, dude! You don’t need that. So instead, here we are, writing thinking it’d be fun to share these with you instead.
LIST | A FEW CHRISTMAS DÉCOR LOOKS AND STYLES – JUST FOR FUN!
TIME TO SPARKLE! GLITTERING NEW YEARS EVE PARTY DRESS IDEAS #NYEPARTY #NYEFASHION #NYE #NEWYEARSEVE #NEWYEAR2022 #FASHION Share on XI’m not sure if any of you are “into” fashion, but I’ve always liked it in a rudimentary way. Meaning I see trends or will read an article on trends now and again, but I still buy things I like or try to find things that will look best on me rather than trying to make a trend work. Some of these pieces I’d never wear, but they look fun and some I would if I had occasion to. Either way, it seems like a fun idea to put this together.
NEW YEAR’S EVE FASHION (JUST FOR FUN)
CLASSY AND FANCY
You know that song ‘Fancy Like’? I seriously feel as though that gets stuck in my head anytime I think about something “fancy.” Like, it IS just that catchy. Back on topic, which is sharing some sequined (because sometimes we’re all about sequins, right?) dresses or tops if you’re going out to a shindig and what to be, well, fancy! In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a fancy-lite black dress(1). I wouldn’t personally wear this style just because I don’t think I could pull it off or if you want something more “festive,” there’s a variation on this style with a red or green(2) option. This ‘forbidden love’ blush tiered dress(3) is cute too if you want something fancy, but with a more casual feel. If you’re into a shorter length but still want all the glitter, this “all that glitters” little black dress with a cap sleeve(4) may be perfect for you.
If you’re a more casual girl, you can also wear something like this fun one-shoulder top(5) complete with all the glitter. Pair it with, as the model does, your favorite jean or black pants. Or if you’re more of a comfort over anything kind of fashionista, it does look like it has some length for leggings.
Of course you can find some fun gold, silver or colorful jewelry to add style or some texture.
LOUGEWEAR STYLING
If you’re like me, and more of an at-home kind of celebrator, but you still want to look (or feel?) a little festive, there’s options! Aside from the fun headbands, party hats or throwaway dinner plates we pick up; or even just your most comfy sweatshirt from your closet, there’s also some cute things you could pick up if you still want something new but comfy.
There’s this pair of black glitter joggers(6), which may not be comfy – I have zero idea! But with your favorite worn in sweatshirt, they may be fun and allow you to feel like you did make a somewhat festive effort, right? There’s also this sequin jogger option(7) or there’s these metallic(8) ones, too! Most of these are inexpensive which means they probably don’t have long-lasting kind of quality, but hey, if you’d be like me, you’d probably only wear them once or twice, so… it could be fun!
Still casual but with a bit of sparkle is this black loose fit crew neck tee(9) that seems to have pretty dang good reviews. This “sparkle on white” top(10) is also cute and a fun casual option with leggings or your favorite skinny jeans.
Add these silver bow slippers(11) or there’s this pair with a fluffy kind of band(12) for a finishing loungewear touch and prepare to have fun!
NOTE: Also, random but while writing this, Taylor Swift’s ‘New Year’s Day’ came on. Just seems funny.
ROCKER VIBES
If you’re into a bit edgier look, this bomber jacket, complete with sequins(13) looks to have some decent reviews. It also comes in a plain gold and green; based on photos, I like the look of the “colour sequins” best. Looks a bit more polished. If you’re in a warm climate you could pair it with shorts as the model does (though I wouldn’t go for this shoot styling for the shoot); or some black angle or skinny jeans. Pair the former with some cute black sneaker shoes(14) and the latter with a boot or heel depending on where you plan to go. In several colors, there’s also a sequin camisole(15).
So many are also into the faux leather leggings(16) if that’s your thing, it fits with the rocker chic vibes. It’s not really mine, but it would be others I know.
Most of these you can probably find something else similar, so just check other retailers if you’re curious.
