UPCOMING 2022 BOOK RELEASES I’M REALLY EXCITED FOR

Hey there, happy readers! I’m going to be honest. Sometimes I’m fully on top of new content for the week and I know what I’m doing and what the plan is. Other times I’m not and I have zero idea what the content will be apart from one or two days. Then there are the weeks that I have the best of intentions with content and intended to write maybe a “review” of a service or a discussion post. This week happens to be one of those weeks in the final category. Since yesterday I shared a few of the 2022 book releases I’m excited for, I thought I’d do that in a longer form here today. And not just because I’m desperate. Nope this is because I’m genuinely excited for these!

I may have lots of reader and reading, and bookstgram opinions and feelings right now, but there’s still books I’m genuinely excited about and eager to read. I still haven’t found my reader voice again, but I’m trying to let this play out and not force anything because honestly, I think that’s worse. Nonetheless, we still love a good book and these are a few of the 2022 releases (coming so far – more are sure to be announced) that I’m genuinely eager to read.

2022 BOOK RELEASES I’M EXCITED FOR

1: TURN TO ME, BECKY WADE – OUT NOW!

Goodreads

I adore anything Becky writes. She has this talent for putting together a charming romance (which I adore) but also writing in more realistic issues some might face. Because of this, her novels aren’t always “pretty” and perfect, which I personally love. Life isn’t always pretty and perfect, and while I can appreciate that type of art, sometimes I want something that respects the balance.

This is the third Misty River novel about Luke Dempsey, an ex-con and the girl he ends up falling for, Finley plus, a treasure hunt!

2: PLACES WE’VE NEVER BEEN, KASIE WEST – MAY 31

Goodreads

Pretty much anyone who hangs out here knows I adore Kasie West novels. Her books are pure sunshine and that’s my favorite kind of reading. I have this odd feeling that one of these releases she’s going to write something vastly different and it won’t be a me read. But until that day, I’ll continue to read and enjoy her novels. This follows childhood best friends who end up on an RV road trip together after years of not seeing each other.

3: A SECRET PRINCESS, MARGARET STOHL & MELISSA DE LA CRUZ – JUNE 28

Goodreads

After reading Jo & Laurie which I adored, seeing that this writing duo is to release another YA historical novel did make me a tiny bit giddy. This outing is a mash up of A Little Princess and The Secret Garden, and it sound just as sweetly romantic as their first novel. I’m excited – and tell me, have you read about or read this one?

4: THE DEADLY SHALLOWS, DANI PETTREY – JULY 1

Goodreads

Finally! Readers who enjoy novels by Dani Pettrey are getting the third novel in the Coastal Guardians. Reading this is high on my priority list and I like to think I’ll have read a couple of these (above) prior to this July release so that I can enjoy this one! Coast Guard medic Brooke Kesler is witness to an active shooter when someone opens fire on a graduation ceremony. This brings in CGIS agent Noah Rowley and together, they discover this shooting may be part of a larger and sinister plot!

5: A THOUSAND HEARTBEATS, KIERA CASS – DECEMBER 6

Goodreads

Always enjoy a novel by Kiera Cass and so discovering she has a new book releasing is exciting. Not a lot is known about this one like zero art, yet (but I’m betting, in usual Cass fashion, it’ll be styling), however it is described as a star crossed lovers story that’s also a standalone. It follows a princess named Annika who is soon to be forced into marriage and a army man named Lennox. All I know is I’m curious!

6: PRETTY LITTLE PIECES, CARMEN SCHOBER – DECEMBER 6

Goodreads

I started reading Carmen’s novel After She Falls a while back and was enjoying it. Then my reading issues crept up, and I didn’t finish it. But I still 100% will, I just haven’t. Needless to say, based off what I read, I’m curious to read this sophomore read by Schrober and cannot wait! Her books also take some of the tougher topics and make them “pretty,” but not in an unhealthy way, but rather in an interesting, thought-provoking kind of manner.

An influencer finds her life is falling apart when her perfect life with beau and business partner Lance wants to put a stop, at least for now, to their relationship. Further complicating things is the arrival of her twin sister and an ex-sniper.

Your turn! What 2022 books are you anticipating? Are you still reading all the books or has your reading changed? What books are you enjoying now? What genre is your favorite? Would you read any of these? Let eme know all the thoughts below! Let’s chat.

Thank you so much for visiting! Please, do come back soon.
