Falling for Christmas (2022) Netflix Review
Staying at the luxury resort her father owns is comfortable living for Sierra Belmont (Lindsay Lohan). However the reason she’s here isn’t something she’s happy about. Or this is what she tells her secret boyfriend Tad (George Young). Her father (Jack Wagner) wants her to take a position at his company and work next to him. But working in a company where her father creates a title for her isn’t what Sierra feels comfortable with. When a social media worthy outing goes wrong and Sierra tumbles down a mountain hitting her head, she develops amnesia. She’s found by Jake (Chord Overstreet). Owner of a small lodge who is struggling, together they may find solutions to some of his business challenges.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘HELLO, GOODBYE AND EVERYTHING IN-BETWEEN’: NETFLIX ROMANCE FROM YA AUTHOR
⛄🎿❄️'FALLING FOR CHRISTMAS’: THE LINDSAY LOHAN COMEBACK YOU MAY ENJOY❄️🎿⛄ FEATURES #LINDSAYLOHAN IN A NEW ROMANCE. #ROMANCE #MOVIES #NETFLIXMOVIES #FALLINGFORCHRISTMAS #NETFLIXREVIEW Share on XThis was one of those highly anticipated films based solely on it marking the return of Lindsay Lohan, a former Disney darling. Part of her deal with Netflix, this is the first of her films in the works and it’s… fun. I think the film goes a little too “all in” with the antics and silly. There’s the usual stereotypical scenes of being scared of a woodland creature or skiing down a hill, both of which are painfully fake and some of the antics meant to garner laughter is too much. Nonetheless, there is still an entertaining movie. It’s just that the “cheese” factor is a little high here.
Those of us who watched all of those early 2000 films like Mean Girls or even Herbie will love seeing Lindsay Lohan in something again. She plays her normal, likable character though perhaps we have to warm to her a bit in the beginning. Still, you admire a girl who is able to learn things and shift perspectives, in the process, becoming a better person. The rest of the cast is fine as well. My one complaint is I didn’t really “feel” much of anything between anyone. The connections just aren’t really strong. Nonetheless, nothing is “bad” either and seeing the little blooper reel at the end gives us a glimpse of what fun everyone filming had.
If you’re into sitting back with a bowl of popcorn to enjoy a silly movie, Falling for Christmas is your ticket. It’s one of those movies you can watch at the end of a long day and giggle over while being swept into the Christmas spirit.
You can stream Falling for Christmas exclusively on Netflix.

Content: nothing much to note in this PG film. There may be a minor suggestive comment or two, but nothing noteworthy. If it bothers you, it’s implied (in the final moments) that a character is bi-sexual.
I agree this was a bit cheesy in moments, but most holiday movies are! I actually think Lindsay Lohan is a pretty good actress, so it was nice to see her back!
It was fun to see her back! And I agree that most Christmas movies are cheesy. I think this one just leans too much into the “painful” with how fake some things look. But that’s me being extra picky. ;) Overall, definitely fun and cute.
